WWE Name Comments On New Faction’s Debut: ‘It Was Almost Like The Shield Meets The Nexus’

A WWE name has reacted to a new faction’s debut, comparing it to previous segments featuring The Shield and Nexus stables.

Royce Keys joined forces with two NXT stars in the closing moments of Raw, with the Andre The Giant Memorial Battle Royal winner attacking Jey Uso and LA Knight during the Usos vs Knight & Solo Sikoa main event.

Two masked stars – revealed to be Bronco Nima and Lucien Price of OTM – then entered the ring to take out Jimmy Uso and Solo Sikoa.

The show ended with Keys, Nima and Price standing tall after dismantling all of the competitors from the August 24 main event match.

WWE Analyst Sam Roberts commented on this segment during the latest edition of WWE Now: Raw Recap.

Likening the segment to those which previously featured two notable factions, Roberts said:

“Out of nowhere, Royce Keys and Out The Mud invade Monday Night Raw to end the show. 

“It was almost like The Shield meets The Nexus in terms of utter chaos, and the fact that they weren’t necessarily on anybody’s side. Nobody saw it coming.”

Nima and Price have since taken to Twitter to comment on their main roster debuts, which you can read more about right here.

This former NXT duo first teamed together on Level Up in August 2022, ahead of joining the main NXT brand in July 2023 and forming the Out The Mud group with SCRYPTS.

They last wrestled on NXT TV on the July 28 episode, losing to BirthRight’s Channing “Stacks” Lorenzo and Uriah Connors.

Bronco Nima was part of the rebooted Los Perros Del Mal group in AAA, appearing alongside Angel, Berto, Daga and Karmen Petrovic during the stable’s return in June. Nima was kicked out of the group after losing to Penta on the August 22 AAA on Fox show.

As referenced by Sam Roberts, several groups have made an impact by invading WWE matches in the past. It will be interesting to see what WWE has in store for this new group’s presentation, with the trio seemingly set to face off against the Bloodline.
