We have been taught to never say “never” in the WWE and, as fans, we have witnessed some truly shocking moments. However, I think we can safely say that a WWE vs. NJPW/AEW Super-Show is extremely unlikely to ever happen. There’s a better chance the XFL will replace the NFL.
When Vince McMahon bought WCW fans were fantasy booking dream matches that they never thought they’d see; DX vs. nWO, Undertaker vs. Sting or The Rock vs. Goldberg for example. They were right, but the potential was at least there. The WWE completely butchered the purchase of WCW and the subsequent Invasion angle. Since then, WWE has been running high at the top of the wrestling ladder, seemingly untouchable.
However, with the recent real emergence of NJPW into the West, and Cody and The Young Bucks’ launch of AEW, fans now have a viable alternative. This has led to fans fantasy booking their cross-promotion dream matches.
So in this list, I will present the 10 WWE vs. NJPW/AEW dream matches we NEED to see!! However, before I begin I want to briefly thank WrestleTalk’s own Dashing Cody for the awesome match graphics!! Thanks, man.
