10 People Who Did Better On The Main Roster Than NXT

2. Becky Lynch

NXT Run: 2014-2015

Main Roster Call-Up: July 2015

NXT Accomplishments: None

Main Roster Accomplishments: 1x Raw Women’s Championship, 3x SmackDown Women’s Championship, 2019 Royal Rumble Match winner

Asides from one match in NXT with Sasha Banks, Becky Lynch never did much in Full Sail. It’s clear that she has benefited the most out of all of the four Horsewomen following their moves to the main roster.

Becky Lynch became not only the most over man or woman in WWE in 2018-19 during her run as “The Man”, but has arguably gone on to become one of the biggest stars in wrestling, with Hollywood reportedly interested in working with the Irishwoman.

Fans of Lynch during her time in NXT always knew she had potential, but I’m sure very few people saw Becky going on to become one of WWE’s biggest stars, with even fewer probably thinking that she’d have the potential to break out into the mainstream.

As the only woman to win a WrestleMania main event, and as one of the company’s top merchandise sellers, there is no denying that Becky Lynch is a bigger star following her move to the main roster than anyone would have thought she’d go on to become during her time with NXT.

1. Roman Reigns

NXT Run: 2012-2013

Main Roster Call-Up: November 2012

NXT Accomplishments: None

Main Roster Accomplishments: 1x United States Champion, 1x Intercontinental Champion, 1x WWE Tag Team Champion, 3x WWE Champion, 2x Universal Champion (current), 2015 Royal Rumble Match winner

While Roman Reigns is WWE’s biggest star right now, without question, “The Big Dog” didn’t really do anything of note during his time with NXT between 2012 and 2013 before moving to the main roster full-time.

Since becoming a full-time member of the WWE main roster, Roman Reigns has won pretty much everything that there is to win in the company, feuded with Brock Lesnar, John Cena and Triple H (beating them all on PPV) and defeated The Undertaker in the main event of WrestleMania.

When Leakee debuted in NXT in 2012, I’m sure very few people saw him going on to become the heir to John Cena’s throne and the face of the company for the next ten years.
