9. Elias
Elias was extremely over as a face but and WWE have seemingly opted to revert the former NXT star back to a heel. No-one really knows why as he only turned face towards the end of 2018, but perhaps it was to ensure a babyface Bray Wyatt could return and feud with the guitarist.
Besides from their similarities when it comes to their appearance, with both boasting long black hair and bushy beards, the pair are both great on the mic. I am not suggesting Wyatt should return as a guitarist, but he has the ability to create entertaining yet intense segments with Elias.
The in-ring matches in this program would be fine, but the real money in this feud would come from the segments, the story-telling and promos.
Elias was a great face, but he knows more than anyone how to get the crowd to boo him and root for his opponent. The potential pop if Wyatt returns to interrupt an Elias concert, where he has just trashed the local sports team of the city Raw is emanating from that week, could be enormous.
Raw has been extremely short of top babyfaces since Roman Reigns’ leukemia announcement and subsequent departure, and with Elias reverting back to his heelish tendencies in his feud with Jeff Jarrett, a Wyatt face return could really give Raw fans a character to get behind at the top of the card.
