Would NXT be a better show if it was live?
As Luke and Laurie pointed out in their NXT review this week, the show was made up of (obviously) pre-recorded matches, but those shows couldn’t possibly include any of the storylines from the excellent Takeover: War Games II. Under the current system, NXT is completely unable to continue the momentum from their pay-per-view events.
The only realistic solution to this would be to make NXT into a weekly live show. It’s the next logical step in the yellow brand’s slow evolution into a third main brand. Worst case scenario, you’d think they could maybe just do the next episode live?
What do you think? Will we ever see a live NXT show? Should we?
