3 Things That Should Happen At AEW Full Gear, And 3 That Absolutely Should NOT

Kenny Omega SHOULD Beat Adam Page & Turn Fully Heel

One of the matches that most people are naming as their top candidate for match for night is Kenny Omega vs Adam Page to determine which of them will earn a shot at the World Title in the future.

There hasn’t been a clear heel and babyface throughout the several months which have been building to this match, which is what has made it so intriguing.

Both have shown heel tendencies but neither have fully gone down the villain route. Tonight should be the time Omega does just that.

I think it’s obvious that the more sympathetic figure here is Page. He was driven to alcoholism because he was used by FTR and turned on his friends. When he realised that was a bad decision he’s done his best to mend things.

People love Omega because he’s one of the best wrestlers in the world. Recently, he’s shown that he knows that. The elaborate entrance, the whole presentation, it should lead to a defining moment where he snaps.

And that moment should be tonight.

One idea is that it doesn’t even need to happen during the Page match, but could actually be a reverse of Double or Nothing 2019 with Omega showing up and battering Jon Moxley after the main event.

Jon Moxley SHOULD NOT Say “I Quit”

I can’t quite decide who should leave Full Gear with the AEW World Championship, but this is something I’ve settled on.

Now I know what you’re thinking. You’re thinking: “but Liam you incredibly sexy example of a human being, if you’re saying Moxley shouldn’t say ‘I Quit’, then surely you’re saying he should win”.

Well, first of all, thanks for the compliment and you are correct about that, BUT, to your second point – this is wrestling. It doesn’t always play by the rules.

There can always be foul play of some description. Kingston could bribe the ref to call that match even if Mox doesn’t give up. And that’s just one example off the top of my head. There are a whole host of options.

The one thing that should not happen though is Moxley legitimately quitting tonight’s match. He’s gone through all his challenges. He’s overcome bigger opposition several times. As fantastic as Kingston is – and he is absolutely phenomenal – he shouldn’t make Mox quit. At least not legitimately.

I can’t help but think it would be a bad look on your top babyface – who has been World Champion for about three quarters of a year – to quit against the heel that he’s called out for whining and moaning, and everything else he’s accused Kingston of in recent weeks.
