5 NWO vs. Bullet Club fantasy matches we’d love to see

3. The Outsiders (NWO) vs. The Young Bucks (BC)

Two of the most revolutionary tag teams of their respective eras. Yes please.

The Outsiders, the team of WWF-deserters Kevin Nash and Scott Hall, arrived in WCW in mid-1996. It was them, alongside another important figure (who we’ll get to later) who formed the original NWO at Bash at the Beach 1996, creating one of the most influential and beloved stables of all time.

Meanwhile, while not original members of the group, the Young Bucks – consisting of real-life brothers Matt and Nick Jackson – joined the group in its debut year of 2013, making them some of the longest-serving members. The two have also been responsible for the group’s surge in popularity in recent years, with both their in-ring skills and real life marketing talents helping to take the Bullet Club to the next level.

While on the surface this seems like a match that nobody would want to see, think of the historical significance of these two teams squaring off.

Two tag teams that launched wrestling into new eras, the two most famous duos within their respective factions, and two teams who are possibly the most popular outside of WWE in their own time periods. The story just writes itself.

Also, remember that we’re talking about these men in their prime. Nash and Hall were both great wrestlers back in the day – remember that Hall had that awesome ladder match with Shawn Michaels at WrestleMania X and Kevin Nash, well, he’s good. Just as long as his quads hold out.

A battle of size and power against speed and agility, it’s a styles clash that has worked countless times in wrestling history and, with these two teams involved, it would definitely work again.
