WWE
Friday Night SmackDown has seen its fair share of free agent signings whether it be from WWE NXT or from outside talent making their debut.
From Trick Williams to Blake Monroe, these names have added plenty of depth to the SmackDown roster.
Looking at the available talent, there are a wide variety of potential signings that could further bolster the ranks of the blue brand moving forward.
Here are seven potential WWE SmackDown new signings.
7. Tatum Paxley

Tatum Paxley’s WWE NXT North American Title reign came to an end at the hands of Zaria on the June 9, 2026 episode of NXT
At WWE NXT Great American Bash 2026, Zaria defeated Tatum Paxley to retain the NXT Women’s North American Championship.
This marked Paxley’s second straight loss to Zaria in championship matches over the past month.
Since signing with WWE in 2022, Paxley has become a mainstay for the NXT women’s division and a former NXT Women’s Champion.
After taking another loss to Kelani Jordan on the June 30 WWE NXT, it might be the right time for Paxley to make the move to the main roster and become part of the Friday Night SmackDown brand in the near future.
6. Josh Briggs

Josh Briggs has been an NXT mainstay since 2021
Josh Briggs made his WWE debut in 2021 and became one of the building blocks of the NXT 2.0 brand.
In recent months, Briggs has been featured inconsistently and now finds herself on the outside looking in on the NXT brand.
With his size and athleticism inside the squared circle, Briggs can bring things to the table that no one else on the WWE roster has right now.
Potentially becoming a bodyguard or a singles force on the roster, Briggs could make an immediate impact and become a prominent star in the company.
5. Kelani Jordan

When looking at the WWE NXT roster, Kelani Jordan may just be one of the most underrated names on the brand.
Signing with the company under the NIL program, Jordan has been able to showcase her athleticism, agility and presence in a major way.
Over the past three years, Jordan is a former NXT Women’s North American Champion and a former TNA Knockouts World Champion as well.
Now considered a contender for the NXT Women’s Championship, Jordan could skip that part and go on to become an excellent addition to the SmackDown women’s scene.
4. Mike Santana

At TNA Slammiversary 2026, Nic Nemeth defeated Mike Santana to win the TNA World Championship.
Over the past few months, there has been a ton of talk regarding the future of Santana, with the former TNA World Champion now reportedly done with the company.
With this being his second stint with the promotion, Santana feels like someone who can contribute in a significant way to the WWE roster.
Considering all his experience in AEW and TNA, Santana is more than ready for the spotlight that WWE has and would have everything necessary to be a featured star on Friday Night SmackDown.
3. Enzo Amore & Big Cass

A new report has indicated that Big Bill’s AEW contract is expiring and is set to return to WWE.
Meanwhile, Enzo Amore was recently seen at the WWE Performance Center with multiple reports circulating that he could be a potential free agent signing.
Considering there were rumors of WWE wanting to rebuild their tag team division, it feels logical to want to bring a popular duo like Enzo and Big Cass back into the company.
Enzo and Cass re-signing with WWE would be huge and go a long way to reestablish the pairing, while seeing them fit into this current landscape better than they did nearly a decade ago.
2. Baron Corbin

Baron Corbin was called back up to SmackDown in 2024, where he formed a brief team with Apollo Crews
Speaking of former WWE stars returning, another name that has found themselves in the headlines as of late is Baron Corbin.
After being released from WWE in November 2024, Corbin reinvented himself into Bishop Dyer and has become one of the featured names in Major League Wrestling.
Now that he is seemingly on his way out of MLW, it feels like the right time for Corbin to make his return to WWE.
Spending 12 years with the promotion during his first run, Corbin could recement his place as one of the most reliable performers on the roster by becoming part of the Friday Night SmackDown roster sooner rather than later.
1. Lola Vice

At WWE NXT Great American Bash 2026, Kendal Grey defeated Lola Vice to win the NXT Women’s Championship.
After spending the past four years on WWE NXT, Vice feels fully prepared for the spotlight that the main roster can give her.
During her time in the company, Vice has displayed her MMA background, undeniable charisma and a signature presence unlike anyone in NXT.
Bringing something new to the table, Vice could become a standout in the SmackDown women’s division before long.
