Every WrestleMania Ever Ranked

15. WrestleMania XXVIII

If you skip the first hour of this show, it is very enjoyable. The decision to have Sheamus beat Daniel Bryan in 18 seconds is regarded as one of the worst booking decisions in recent memory. Although it did kickstart Daniel Bryan’s main event popularity so what can you do.

After the nonsense of Big Show vs. Cody Rhodes and Kelly Kelly & Maria Menounos vs. Beth Phoenix & Eve, this turned into a great show. Triple H vs. Undertaker inside Hell in a Cell was awe-inspiring. Great storytelling and a great match lead to one of the best Hell in a Cell matches ever and the best match on the show. CM Punk and Chris Jericho had a very solid WWE Championship match before The Rock and John Cena main evented the show.

While the Once in a Lifetime match was not spectacular, it did feel special. The sequel did not but that is beside the point.

14. WrestleMania XXV

Similar to some other on this list, this event had one blowaway match with a number of other pleasant battles along the way.

The Money in the Bank Ladder match was very good, the Hardys’ Extreme Rules match was a fun weapons-filled fight, and Ricky Steamboat made a wonderful return to the ring against Chris Jericho. The main event was a huge disappointment, as Triple H vs. Randy Orton failed to show any of the intensity that had fuelled their program leading up to the event. However, none of that really matters because Shawn Michaels vs. Undertaker happened. The match was a masterpiece and won Match of the Year in nearly every wrestling awards imaginable.

The one match elevated the whole show leaps and bounds. It was just that good.

13. WrestleMania III

The first two created the name, but this one created the spectacle. WrestleMania III was held in the Pontiac Silverdome with a record-setting number of fans in attendance.

Those fans witnessed one of the best matches in ‘Mania history that night as well as one of the most famous moments. Ricky Steamboat vs. Randy Savage was a trend-setting match that was unlike WWF fans were used to seeing at the time. It was quick and explosive and very different from the slower, more gimmicky matches they were used to. Then the main event happened. Hulk Hogan vs. Andre the Giant is perhaps the biggest match in WWE folklore. Hogan the underdog slamming Andre is a visual that has been immortalized over the years.

12. WrestleMania 33

This was a hard one to rank. For one it did not have that show-stealing WrestleMania match, but it did have a number of very solid matches and moments.

The biggest moment was the surprise return of Matt and Jeff Hardy. The duo had been away from WWE for seven and eight years respectively and their return was the biggest moment of the show. Also on the show was a good opener from Shane McMahon and AJ Styles, and solid Kevin Owens vs. Chris Jericho match, and a very fun car crash of Brock Lesnar vs. Goldberg. There was a lot of enjoyment to be had on the show but it was still far too long and the WWE Championship match and the main event brought the show down by the end.

11. WrestleMania XX

There was a time when this was the longest WrestleMania of all time. Man, do those times look nice right about now.

This one is difficult. There were undoubtedly some really good and really bad matches on this show, but the moment it is best remembered for is now tainted. That, of course, being the ending. Chris Benoit and Eddie Guerrero embracing after the main event with the WWE and World Heavyweight Championships was once every hardcore fan’s dream come true. Now, many wish that it could be forgotten due to the tragic and horrifying nature of Benoit’s death. The main event match was fantastic, Guerrero vs. Kurt Angle was very good, Christian vs. Chris Jericho was a gem, and the Rock n’ Sock Connection’s return was fun.

If you can watch this show with a clear head, more power to you but it is understandable if you can’t.
