First WWE Hall Of Fame 2027 Inductee

Last year saw WWE break tradition by announcing the first inductee of their 2026 Hall of Fame class a whole seven months before the ceremony took place, when The Undertaker surprised Stephanie McMahon at Wrestlepalooza 2025.

Typically WWE will wait until WrestleMania season for any Hall of Fame announcements, but perhaps last year’s change was a sign of things to come and WWE will followed up with a similarly early announcement for their 2027 class in the coming months.

Here are three names who could potentially be the first announced for the 2027 WWE Hall of Fame.

Brock Lesnar

Being the most recent WWE retiree, Brock Lesnar will be an early frontrunner for a spot in the 2027 Hall of Fame class.

Last year’s ceremony saw AJ Styles surprised with the news of his induction less than a month on from his in-ring retirement at the hands of GUNTHER, so WWE may want to follow suit and announce Lesnar for the Hall of Fame while his retirement is still fresh in the memory.

Lesnar being an elusive figure means this announcement is more likely to be made with a video package than The Undertaker telling ‘The Beast’ to his face, but that wouldn’t make it any less newsworthy.

Shane McMahon

With the past two years of the WWE Hall of Fame seeing members of the McMahon family inducted, why not keep the streak going in 2027?

Following on from Triple H and Stephanie McMahon receiving their rings in 2025 and 2026, it seems inevitable that Shane-O-Mac also gets his own induction before too long, despite not being a present figure in the company anymore.

2018 WWE World Cup win aside, Shane McMahon has always been well thought of by fans for putting his body on the line inside the ring when he really didn’t need to, and the memories of his death-defying antics alone warrant a spot in the WWE Hall of Fame.

Michael Cole

Much like Jim Ross and Jerry Lawler in 2007, 2027 could be the year that WWE honors its leading commentator with a well earned Hall of Fame induction.

Michael Cole has been an ever present part of WWE for three decades; in which time he has seen superstars, commentary partners and bosses come and go. No matter your opinion on his commentary, Cole’s commitment to WWE and consistency in his work is something to behold.

Like Stephanie McMahon and AJ Styles, Cole would also be a perfect candidate for the surprise Hall of Fame announcement from The Undertaker – something ‘The Deadman’ has become known for in recent years.

WWE is ending 2026 strong with Money in the Bank, Crown Jewel, Survivor Series and Wrestlepalooza in the coming months, so there are plenty of opportunities for ‘The Deadman’ to deliver the news to Cole on a big stage.
