Penta WWE Plans After Roman Reigns World Heavyweight Title Match

Less than two years on from his WWE debut, Penta is set for his first one-on-one opportunity for a world championship in WWE next week.

Taking on Roman Reigns for the World Heavyweight Championship on the September 14 WWE Raw in Mexico City, Penta has the chance to ascend to new heights in WWE in front of his home fans.

However, given the way WWE have been setting up Reigns for a future title match with LA Knight, Solo Sikoa and perhaps even Royce Keys, few are going to be expecting Penta to actually get the win, even if it would it be a popular decision if he did.

With that being said, here are some alternative plans for Penta after his World Heavyweight Title match with Roman Reigns.

Money In The Bank Qualification

The September 7 WWE Raw will see the qualifiers for the 2026 Money in the Bank ladder matches begin, with just over a month to go until the popular PLE comes to New Orleans on October 10.

While Penta will obviously not be in the initial batch of qualifying matches due to his title opportunity against Reigns on September 14, he could still get involved in them if he fails to dethrone ‘The OTC’ for his title.

Penta competed in the Money in the Bank match back in 2025 but fell short, so perhaps second time’s a charm?

Lucha Bros Reunion

After their brilliant first-ever WWE singles match on the August 31 Raw, fans will be clamoring to see Penta and Rey Fenix together in a wrestling ring once again; only this time as tag team partners.

WWE have done their best to keep Penta and Fenix apart from each other for well over a year now, but it’s starting to feel like it could be time for a full blown Lucha Bros tag team run.

While this would perhaps feel like a bit of a step back for Penta given that he’s flirting with the main event picture, a tag team run doesn’t need to spell the end of his chances of winning a world title forever.

Besides, the World Heavyweight Title picture is sure to get busy between now and WrestleMania 43, so Penta may be best served rebuilding the struggling tag division with his brother for the time being.

Joins LA Knight & Solo Sikoa’s Fight Against The Bloodline And Royce Keys 946 Faction

While he still teeters on the line between heel and babyface, Roman Reigns has done his best to win his matches clean in this current World Heavyweight Title run; a stark contrast to his record-breaking Undisputed WWE Title reign.

But with Penta set to be the overwhelming babyface in Mexico City, it may be best for WWE to break that streak of admirable Roman Reigns performances and have him win as a result of outside interference; whether from The Bloodline, or Royce Keys’ new 946 faction.

With Keys, Lucien Price and Bronco Nima aiming to take out anyone and everyone in their path, we could see Penta become an unsuspecting casualty in the war between The Bloodline and 946.

After seeing his shot at the World Heavyweight Title go up in smoke courtesy of The Bloodline and 946, Penta could join up with LA Knight and Solo Sikoa in their attempts to combat the two groups.
