A Wild Title Opportunity Appeared
I need a Kayfabe explanation. I’m not asking for much. I don’t care what the reasoning is… but why do some people get frequent random title shots, with no explanation or story, while other people have to fight tooth and nail for the same opportunity.
Why didn’t Petey Williams just appear at a random Impact and challenge for the X-Division title like everyone else seems to do? Why did he have to fight his way through Feast or Fired to get an opportunity months later? It makes me so angry.
Ishimori will face Matt Sydal for the X-Division title, but he’ll lose so it doesn’t matter. He might win, but if he does he will lose it a few weeks later in a rematch. There are no stakes… urgh.
This will be a great match, I’m sure of it. I’m happy to watch Impact for the wrestling, I’m just not so sure about the devaluation of the titles like this. A title shot should be special, an honor.
