While AEW All Out and WWE Worlds Collide both took place last night, a match at an NXT live event also managed to grab attention.
The announcement that IYO SKY would be in action at last night’s live event in Greensboro against Nikkita Lyons drummed up a lot of conversation amid IYO’s ongoing down period of booking on the main roster.
With IYO currently directionless on the main roster, here are more potential WWE NXT matches for the Genius of the Sky.
Kelani Jordan
One Shot Lani struck again back at NXT Heatwave, when Kelani Jordan defeated Kendal Grey to capture the NXT Women’s Championship at her first time of asking.
Kelani has now reigned as TNA Knockouts, NXT Women’s North American and NXT Women’s Champion, giving her the accolades to proclaim herself as one of the greatest NXT women’s wrestlers of all time.
Kelani making such a claim would be an easy way for IYO to make her way back to NXT, herself being one of the greatest women in NXT history.
Kendal Grey
Kendal Grey lost her NTX Women’s Championship to Kelani Jordan at NXT Heatwave 2026.
Kendal Grey has caught fire over the past year, with her now touted as one of the top prospects in WWE regardless of gender.
After her NXT Women’s Championship loss, WWE is currently running a self doubt angle with Kendal on NXT television, with her looking to get her confidence back.
Stepping into the ring with arguably WWE’s best wrestler, win or lose, would help reignite that fire in Kendal.
La Catalina
IYO SKY, La Catalina and Roxanne Perez faced off in a Money In The Bank Qualifier on Raw
This week on Raw, we got a brief taste of what IYO SKY and La Catalina could do together, when they faced off in a Money In The Bank qualifier alongside Roxanne Perez.
Catalina has been making the rounds over the past week, competing on TripleMania, Raw and NXT.
If Catalina makes a return to NXT following her appearance this week, the Performance Center would make a great neutral venue for her and IYO to face off in their first singles encounter.
