Following the AEW Dynamite Beach Break special, Kenny Omega is now once again the AEW World Champion after defeating MJF in the main event.

With All Elite Wrestling’s next pay-per-view on July 26 in Montreal, there are plenty of options to face Omega for the title at Redemption 2026.

From former rivals to those who own a victory over Omega, there is no shortage of potential opponents that could come out of the woodwork to step up to face the new champion at Redemption in Montreal.

Here are eight potential Kenny Omega AEW Redemption 2026 opponents.

8. MJF

On the July 8 Beach Break special of AEW Dynamite, Kenny Omega defeated MJF to win the AEW World Championship.

Now that he is a two-time AEW World Champion, Omega will have to deal with an irate MJF, who will be looking to regain the top prize in the company.

Despite his knee being in bad shape, it feels like MJF is the best option to face Omega for the AEW World Title in Montreal.

Looking to redeem himself from this loss, ‘The Devil’ could look to take down ‘The God of Professional Wrestling’ before his second title reign even gets started at AEW Redemption 2026.

7. Kevin Knight

Over the course of 2026 so far, Kevin Knight has been focused on the AEW World Championship despite holding gold throughout the year.

‘The Jet’ even challenged the winner of Kenny Omega vs. MJF at the AEW Dynamite Beach Break special on July 8.

Now that the dust has settled, it is Omega who now holds the AEW World Championship and could defend the title against Knight in Omega’s home country.

Omega facing a young upstart like ‘The Jet’ would make for one of the biggest matches of Knight’s career and may prove itself to be a worthy headliner for the next major show, AEW Redemption 2026.

6. Andrade El Idolo

Andrade El Idolo has been on a roll since making his return to All Elite Wrestling at the start of 2026.

‘The Real Latino Man’ has picked up several key wins over the past few months, including a victory over Kenny Omega.

Taking that into account and the fact that he has been unable to earn a shot at the gold, El Idolo feels like a deserving challenger for Omega to start this reign.

‘The Best Bout Machine’ giving Andrade his long awaited title opportunity at AEW Redemption 2026 could set the stage for a potential Match of the Year candidate in Montreal on July 26.

5. Darby Allin

The wrestling world is still talking about the whirlwind run that Darby Allin had with the AEW World Championship.

Thanks to his breakneck pace in the ring and with this reign, Allin has firmly cemented himself as a main event, top level name on the AEW roster.

Despite facing a who’s who list of top stars in AEW over the course of his time in the company, Allin has never faced Kenny Omega in a singles match.

Wanting to pay respect to his magical reign with the gold and finally facing off one-on-one, Omega might want to lock horns with Darby for the AEW World Title at Redemption in Canada.

4. Kazuchika Okada

Back at AEW All In Texas 2025, Kazuchika Okada defeated Kenny Omega to become the first ever AEW Unified Champion.

Since this clash, Okada and Omega have not stepped inside the ring much in the past year.

With this past win over the current champion, Okada should find himself in line for a shot at Omega’s gold.

Omega defending the AEW World Title against Okada would make for a stellar main event showdown on the Redemption 2026 card and prove to be the rubber match with both men tied at two wins a piece in their singles history.

3. Jon Moxley

Following AEW Double Or Nothing 2026, Kenny Omega confronted Will Ospreay about his training with The Death Riders and his relationship with Jon Moxley.

After briefly going back and forth, this interaction between Omega and Ospreay was interrupted by Moxley.

Throughout their time in All Elite Wrestling together, Omega and Moxley have clashed on several different occasions and have become one of the most prominent feuds in the company’s history.

Now that he holds the AEW World Title, Omega could be challenged by Moxley in what would be a compelling battle for the gold in the main event of AEW Redemption.

2. Swerve Strickland

At the start of 2026, Kenny Omega and Swerve Strickland found themselves in each other’s way to the AEW World Title.

This led to Strickland defeating Omega on the February 18 edition of AEW Dynamite. After the bout, Swerve turned heel and brutally beat down ‘The Cleaner.’

However, Omega got a measure of revenge by picking up a win over Swerve on the March 25 Dynamite to become the number one contender for the AEW World Championship.

Now that ‘The Best Bout Machine’ has the top prize in the promotion, it might be time for Omega and Swerve to run it back and finish their trilogy for the title at AEW Redemption 2026.

1. ‘Hangman’ Adam Page

Earlier this year, it seemed like fans could be on the road to seeing ‘Hangman’ Adam Page finally go one-on-one with Kenny Omega for the first time since AEW Full Gear 2021.

Considered close friends in The Elite, Omega and Page are former AEW World Tag Team Champions and have only faced each other twice in the company.

After losing to MJF in a Texas Death Match at Revolution 2026, Page can no longer challenge for the AEW World Title as long as he lives.

However, Omega can find a loophole by challenging ‘Hangmam’ and giving him the opportunity to redeem himself from his Revolution loss in Montreal at AEW Redemption 2026.
