Hell, if this match wasn’t going to happen at Crown Jewel, why not just put it on SmackDown Live? And it was a corker. Two of the very best in the world (yes, better than anyone in the World Cup to determine the best in the world) going at it with pure technique, submission skill, striking ability, and athleticism.
As predicted, Styles was walking out of this the victor with a WWE Championship match at Crown Jewel still advertised but they did well to make you forget. If this is a precursor to what is yet to come in the future then the future is bright in WWE… even if that abysmal pay-per-view gave you a whole lot of doubt.
