WWE
Over the past few weeks, there have been segments involving AAA’s primary owner and President Marisela Peña Roldan about the leadership in the Mexican promotion.
Then on the April 25 edition of AAA on FOX, it was confirmed that the company will announce a new AAA General Manager on May 23.
Looking at the legends on-screen and off-screen in AAA right now, there are some interesting options who could take on this new role moving forward.
Here are six new potential WWE AAA General Managers.
6. Dorian Roldan
The segments on AAA on FOX involving Marisela Peña Roldan has also featured her son Dorian Roldan.
While Marisela mostly appears as a figurehead, her son Dorian is directly involved in the storylines.
Dorian has formed his own faction known as El Ojo alongside El Hijo del Vikingo and Omos.
With the future of his two charges in mind, Dorian could cause a lot of damage and more chaos in Lucha Libre AAA as the promotion’s new General Manager.
5. Savio Vega
As previously mentioned, there are several legendary names who are working behind-the-scenes for Lucha Libre AAA right now.
One of those Hall of Fame names happens to be former WWE star Savio Vega.
With over 40 years of experience, Vega is someone who offers advice and guides the stars of AAA as a producer.
Giving him more of an on-screen role, Vega could become a regular character on AAA on FOX as the new General Manager that might create some intriguing stories in the near future.
4. Konnan
Konnan is someone who is part of the building blocks that made Lucha Libre AAA what it is today.
Back in 1992, Konnan was among the first wrestlers who helped to create AAA from the ashes of EMLL, now known as CMLL.
Since then, Konnan has been an in-ring competitor, creative mastermind and producer for the promotion for decades now.
While he is currently recovering from his leg being amputated, Konnan might find his next major role in AAA as the new General Manager if he is ready to make a return.
3. JBL

JBL made appearances in AAA prior to WWE acquiring the promotion
Since 2024, JBL has become a regular fixture in Lucha Libre AAA in a variety of different ways.
Coming into the company, John Bradshaw Layfield served as the newest member of El Ojo.
However, WWE coming in to acquire the Mexican promotion led to JBL becoming the newest color commentator on the AAA on FOX show.
Despite excelling at this role, JBL could still be an on-screen character and would be ideal at filling the spot of AAA General Manager if given the opportunity.
2. The Undertaker

The Undertaker currently works in a creative capacity in AAA
Since WWE acquired Lucha Libre AAA, the promotion has undergone some changes behind-the-scenes.
Among those changes, The Undertaker has become the head booker and in charge of the creative team for the company.
This has caused some positive adjustments to how the Mexican promotion tells stories on-screen.
Taking things to the next level, Taker could bring his leadership over AAA as the new General Manager where he can demand respect thanks to his legacy in the business.
1. Rey Mysterio

Rey Mysterio has wrestled one match in AAA since WWE acquired the promotion: teaming with Rey Fenix against Dominik Mysterio and El Grande Americano at Guerra De Titanes 2025
Another WWE Hall of Famer who has been a consistent presence in Lucha Libre AAA over the years and in recent months is Rey Mysterio.
Since WWE acquired AAA, Mysterio has been regularly appearing in the promotion as an in-ring competitor and more recently as a color commentator.
Alongside Corey Graves and JBL, Mysterio provides his years of experience and knowledge on the call on the AAA on FOX show every Saturday.
Now, Mysterio could take on a new role as AAA General Manager where his relationship with his son and AAA Mega Champion Dominik Mysterio would be right at the forefront for the promotion moving forward.
