WWE
It has officially been announced that WWE AAA will be revealing a brand new General Manager in just under a month’s time.
On tonight’s WWE AAA episode, Marisela Pena said the following:
“It has been exactly a year since we made history at WrestleMania, and now it’s the time to make history again.
“After a few weeks of careful reflection, I’m proud to announce that AAA will have a new General Manager.
“For the next few weeks, I will be looking for the best candidate to assume this super important and powerful role, and take lucha libre to heights never seen before.
“The new General Manager will be named live on Saturday, May 23 here in Mexico City.
“Thank you for all your incredible support, and prepare yourselves, because with the new General Manager in AAA, nothing will be the same.”

As far as WWE’s current General Manager roster – Adam Pearce is the GM for Raw, Nick Aldis for SmackDown, Robert Stone for NXT, and Timothy Thatcher for Evolve.
The main creative forces behind WWE AAA in recent months have been The Undertaker and Jeremy Borash, but they haven’t been featured in an on-screen capacity.
Who Could Be The New AAA General Manager?
As far as potential WWE AAA General Managers, there hasn’t really been anything teased other than Dorian Roldan trying to make a case for himself to Marisela Pena in the hope that he’d be able to put El Ojo – El Hijo Del Vikingo and Omos – in a better position.
One logical candidate could be WWE and AAA Hall of Famer Rey Mysterio, though he has been on commentary with Corey Graves and JBL as of late, so being the the GM may mean he’d have to leave that role.
Another name that has been thown around is Chavo Guerrero, who was said to have been back in the fold in WWE/AAA a while ago, but hasn’t appeared since then, so this could be the new role that he’s back for.
We’ll keep you posted if any updates come to light on who it could be.
