Dexter Lumis of the Wyatt Sicks has commented on he and the rest of the group’s WWE release during last night’s talent cuts.
WWE held it’s latest batch of talent releases last night (April 24), which saw 24 confirmed names be released from the company.
Among those names was every member of SmackDown’s Wyatt Sicks faction, with Uncle Howdy, Erick Rowan, Joe Gacy, Dexter Lumis and Nikki Cross all being let go from the company.
Dexter Lumis Comments On WWE Departure
Taking to Instagram to comment on his WWE release, Dexter opened up on his time in the group, thanking the fans and opponents of the Wyatt Sicks during their run.
Lumis noted that he and the rest of the group ‘felt Bray’s presence’ every time they came to the ring.
He wrote:
Won’t make this too sappy, but I love each and every member of this group. The task we took on together was truly monumental. I won’t look back with any regrets.
Thank you to anyone who ever worked with me/us. The @wwe locker room is filled with amazing talent.
To the fans of @wyattsicks , we truly felt Bray’s presence each and every time we made our entrance. I would like to think most of you did too…

See you soon.

Dexter and the rest of the WWE main roster stars released yesterday have a 90 day non-compete clause before they are free and clear to compete elsewhere.
The State Of SmackDown’s Tag Team Division
WWE SmackDown’s tag team division has been the focus of a lot of fan criticism in recent months since the division’s incredible showcase at SummerSlam 2025.
In the months since, Tommaso Ciampa, Andrade, Joe Gacy, Dexter Lumis, Alex Shelley and Chris Sabin are all no longer with the company, with the titles falling back into the background as teams such as the MFTs and now Damian Priest and R-Truth holding the titles.
SmackDown’s tag team division coming out of this round of releases consists solely of the MFTs, Fraxiom, Los Garza, Damian Priest & R-Truth and various other thrown together duos, such as the recent alliance between The Miz and Kit Wilson.
