From former champions to living legends, there could be some past talent remerging in the company come the first PLE in Turin, Italy on May 31.

Here are six former WWE stars to potentially return at Clash In Italy 2026.

6. Santino Marella

Outside of Bruno Sammartino, there might not be another WWE star who is more synonymous with the country of Italy than Santino Marella.

Making his debut in 2007, Marella came out of the audience in Milan, Italy to defeat Umaga for the WWE Intercontinental Championship.

Since then, Marella has become recognized as one of the most popular representatives of Italy in wrestling.

While he is currently signed to TNA Wrestling, the working relationship between the company and WWE could see Santino make his presence felt at Clash In Italy 2026.

5. Rikishi

The Bloodline will be taking center stage at the WWE Clash In Italy 2026 premium live event.

In the headliner for the show, Roman Reigns will defend the World Heavyweight Championship against Jacob Fatu in a Tribal Combat Match.

Considering the importance of this bout to the future of the Samoan family dynasty, there might be more than one former WWE star from the lineage who could show up at Clash In Italy 2026.

Trish Stratus has been a WWE legend who always loves to be present for these kind of historic events.

At WWE Evolution 2025, Stratus challenged Tiffany Stratton for the WWE Women’s Championship. Then, the WWE Hall of Famer was in the crowd for John Cena’s Final Match at the December 13 Saturday Night’s Main Event.

The six-time WWE Women’s Champion is someone who has been no stranger to lacing up the boots again and stepping in the ring when she has to.

Whether it be to interact with current talent or just be in the audience for this special night, it would not be very surprising to see Trish show up at WWE Clash In Italy 2026.

3. Enzo Amore & Big Cass

Recent reports have indicated that WWE is looking to rebuild their tag team division after departures of The New Day and the releases of The Motor City Machine Guns as well as The Wyatt Sicks.

Then, it was revealed that former WWE star Enzo Amore had been seen backstage at a recent NXT TV taping in Orlando, Florida.

This led to rumors circulating that WWE was interested in bringing back Amore and his former tag team partner Big Cass, also known as Big Bill in All Elite Wrestling.

Considering that Bill’s AEW contract expires at the end of May or early June, fans could see Enzo and Cass as early as WWE Clash In Italy 2026.

2. Baron Corbin

Another WWE star who has been rumored to make a return to the company in the near future is Baron Corbin.

The former WWE star has done an excellent job of reinventing himself as Bishop Dyer in several different promotions since leaving in November 2024.

Recent reports have indicated that Dyer had finished up his time in Major League Wrestling and was on his way back to WWE in the coming months.

Corbin making his WWE return could be interesting and set him up to a prominent star on the roster if he were to shock the world with an appearance at Clash In Italy 2026.

1. The Rock

WWE fans have not seen The Rock inside the squared circle since he played a pivotal role in the John Cena heel turn at Elimination Chamber 2025.

“The Final Boss” is someone who has been present for the last Tribal Combat Match where he showed up after the match to give Roman Reigns the ula fala as “The Tribal Chief.”

Now with Reigns set to face Jacob Fatu in Tribal Combat for the World Heavyweight Championship at WWE Clash In Italy 2026, The Rock could make a surprise appearance on this night.

Considering this historic show with it being the first PLE to take place in Turin, Italy, “The Great One” could give fans an unforgettable moment by showing up for the conclusion of Tribal Combat to close this event.
