Alexa Bliss has paid tribute to the Wyatt Sicks faction and her former tag team partner Nikki Cross following their release from WWE.
One week on from losing to The MFTs on the SmackDown before WrestleMania 42, the entire Wyatt Sicks faction (Bo Dallas/Uncle Howdy, Dexter Lumis, Joe Gacy, Erick Rowan & Nikki Cross) found themselves among the list of 24 names released from the company.
Tributes have poured in for many of the names who have departed the company, with WWE Hall of Famer Nikki Bella saying she was “heartbroken” to learn of Nikki Cross’ release.
Alexa Bliss, who captured the WWE Women’s Tag Team Titles with Cross on two occasions, took to Twitter to show love and support for her former tag team partner, writing:
Bliss cross forever thank you @WWENikkiCross for all of the amazing times, fun car rides, laughs & for being Hendrix’s backstage bestie love you Nikki – can’t wait to see what’s next
In response to Bliss’ message, Cross wrote:
I love you Lexi 🙂 thank you for everything. I cherish our friendship , and I’m so proud of the memories we built and moments we shared.
Seeing you and Hendrix together and getting to hang out with you guys has been such a wonderful gift.
Keep Rollin Rollin Rollin
Bliss Cross Forever
In a separate tweet, Bliss also sent a separate message of thanks for Cross’ faction The Wyatt Sicks, writing:
Thank you Wyatt Sicks
WWE Miss Opportunity With Alexa Bliss & The Wyatt Sicks
When The Wyatt Sicks first debuted in WWE in June 2024, there was a lot of expectation among fans that the group could one day interact with names who had a history with the late Bray Wyatt.
Along with former Wyatt Family member Braun Strowman, who was at the time still with the company, Alexa Bliss was the other name most linked to the Sicks given her own partnership with Bray during his time as The Fiend in 2020/2021.
Bliss has regularly paid tribute to Bray since returning to WWE TV in early 2025, with the former WWE Women’s Tag Team Champion still using a DDT variation of Bray’s Sister Abigail finishing move regularly to win matches, often on the same shows that fellow SmackDown star Bo Dallas/Uncle Howdy was using the Sister Abigail in the Wyatt Sicks.
While it seemed like a no brainer that the two sides would eventually cross paths, WWE releasing the entire Wyatt Sicks sadly means that will not be the case after all.
Obviously the absence of the one-of-a-kind creativity, presence and charisma of Bray Wyatt meant the Wyatt Sicks were always going to face a battle to connect with the audience the same way that he once did, but WWE’s use of the group also left a lot to be desired.
Whether it be their endless feuds with The Final Testament or, more egregiously The MFTs, all the promise surrounding the group when they first arrived in WWE all but disappeared by the time their departures were confirmed.
