Fallon Henley Comments On Fatal Influence WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship Plans

Fallon Henley of Fatal Influence has commented on the group’s plans for title defenses, after winning the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship.

Henley and Lainey Reid challenged for Brie Bella and Paige’s gold at the July 18 Saturday Night’s Main Event special.

Following interference from Jacy Jayne, Lainey Reid pinned Paige to see Fatal Influence leave Madison Square Garden as WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions.

During an interview following the match on SNME Recap: WWE Now, the new champions were asked how often they intend on defending the gold.

Stating that everything will be on their terms, Henley stated:

“We will do so when we deem it’s right. If other tag-teams have earned their shot, then we might, maybe, sorta, kinda, give them an opportunity, but when we decide.”

When asked if there are any teams they believe are worthy of the opportunity right now, she responded:

“Not a single one.”

With the nature of Brie and Paige’s loss, it would make sense to see this duo receive a rematch for the gold.

this team losing the gold does change the Bella Twins’ dynamic, with Nikki and Brie able to chase the championship together once Nikki recovers from her ankle injury.

With Fallon Henley and Lainey Reid now holding main roster gold, it feels like it’s only a matter of time until Jacy Jayne also picks up a title on SmackDown.

Jayne would be an interesting pick for the Interim WWE Women’s Championship ladder match announced for SummerSlam, with the match to determine an interim titleholder while Rhea Ripley recovers from her injury.
