‘She’s One Of The Boys, Everybody’s Gonna Love Her’ – Mark Henry Addresses Blake Monroe’s WWE Main Roster Call-Up WWE

WWE Hall of Famer Mark Henry has heaped praise on Blake Monroe ahead of her imminent call-up from NXT to Friday Night SmackDown.

Following the news of Ethan Page, Sol Ruca and Joe Hendry’s main roster call-ups on the Raw after WrestleMania 42, the first SmackDown since “The Grandest Stage of Them All” gave fans confirmation of even more names making the jump to the blue brand.

Fatal Influence’s Jacy Jayne, Lainey Reid and Fallon Henley made an immediate impact with their debut, where they took out Paige, Brie Bella, Charlotte Flair, Alexa Bliss and eventually Rhea Ripley, but WWE also confirmed elsewhere on the show that two former AEW stars: Ricky Saints and Blake Monroe will also be moving from NXT to SmackDown.

While Saints has been confirmed to be debuting on Friday nights next week, we only know that Monroe is “coming soon.” But that hasn’t stopped anticipation building for the main roster debut of “The Glamour.”

During an appearance on Busted Open, Henry spoke excitedly about Monroe’s prospects going forward, saying the English star has “no weakness” in her game:

“What’s even better about Blake Monroe, and I know this sounds so crazy, but she’s one of the boys.

“Everybody’s gonna love her. She is an old school, throwback wrestler. She’s funny and crass. She said something in AEW in the training room one time, I turned I was like, ‘What did you say?’ She’s just got it.

“When you like people, you work harder for them and she works hard. You watch her matches and she’ll do anything and everything to succeed. And her wrestling skillset is that she can adapt to everybody’s s**t.

“She doesn’t have a weakness, and there’s very few wrestlers that can flip and fly, that can grapple, chain wrestle, that can swing them and punch and kick, that can do everything. She can do everything.”

WWE NXT’s Roster In Need Of A Rebuild After Slew Of Call-Ups

While the women’s division remains strong even in the wake of the key departures of Sol Ruca, Blake Monroe and Fatal Influence, NXT is certainly in need of a roster rebuild post WrestleMania 42.

2026 has seen the men’s division of NXT completely gutted, with Oba Femi, Trick Williams and three out of the four stars involved in WWE NXT Stand & Deliver’s main event match called up.

While there’s certainly some talent rising through the ranks that can challenge Tony D’Angelo for his position at the top, it feels like the brand could also perhaps use some new signees from other promotions.

Mike Santana is someone who is already known to the NXT audience and has a contract in TNA that is reportedly coming up in the Summer, while former IWGP Heavyweight Champion EVIL has already signed with WWE according to a recent report from PWInsider.

A mixture of experienced names such as these, combined with homegrown talent like Keanu Carver & Shiloh Hill should be enough for NXT to bounce back, but it may take some time before the roster feels as strong as it did six months ago.
