Over the past year, WWE has seen two of their biggest stars retire from in-ring competition with John Cena and Brock Lesnar seemingly calling it a career.

This has led to several different stars teasing their own future retirements in the near future.

From iconic stars to longstanding members of the WWE roster, there could be some notable retirements from the company coming soon.

Here are five WWE stars who will retire next.

Randy Orton

Making his WWE debut in 2002, Randy Orton had big shoes to fill being a third-generation star.

Over the course of his 24 year run, Orton became the youngest WWE World Champion, a 14-time World Champion, Money In The Bank winner and two-time Royal Rumble winner.

Despite being at the top of his game, “The Legend Killer” could be winding down his in-ring career.

At 46 years old, Orton’s retirement may be coming sooner rather than later.

R-Truth

In 2025, it appeared WWE had let go R-Truth following contract negotiations fell through.

However, Truth quickly made his return to the company thanks to an outpouring of love and support towards him.

Considered one of WWE’s most popular and beloved stars, Truth has made his mark on the entire promotion.

CM Punk

CM Punk is still one of the biggest stars in the company and a former eight-time WWE World Champion.

“The Best In The World” made his return to the promotion in 2023 and has once again reestablished himself as a top star.

At 47 years old, Punk has more years behind him than ahead of him at this point.

Whether it comes in the next year or two, it feels like fans are experiencing the final run of Punk’s illustrious career.

Cody Rhodes

In recent interviews, Cody Rhodes discussed a potential retirement from in-ring competition.

“The American Nightmare” is widely regarded as the top babyface in WWE today.

Following his return to the company in 2022, Rhodes has accomplished a lot, including three reigns as Undisputed WWE Champion, two Royal Rumble wins and a King of the Ring victory as well.

After re-signing with WWE recently, this could see Cody Rhodes finally hanging up his boots before fans even think he will retire from the squared circle.

Roman Reigns

There is no denying that Roman Reigns is the biggest name on the WWE main roster right now.

As the reigning World Heavyweight Champion, “The OTC” sits atop of the mountaintop with no one coming close to taking him down at this time.

Over the course of his 15-year stint in the company, Reigns is a seven-time WWE World Champion and two-time Royal Rumble winner.

While he is only 41 years old, it already feels like Roman Reigns is preparing for life after in-ring competition and could make his way to Hollywood when he retires from WWE once and for all.
