WWE
There has been a lot of talk online recently surrounding two announcements, which seem to spoil upcoming WWE world title match results.
We’re in an interesting period of the year for the Undisputed WWE Championship and World Heavyweight Title scenes, with talent jockeying for position in the remaining months before the road to WrestleMania 43 kicks off at Royal Rumble in February.
While the road to the road to WrestleMania has historically been a bit of a quiet period in WWE, major world title changes have taken place during this period in recent years, with CM Punk for example winning the World Heavyweight Title at the November 1, 2025 Saturday Night’s Main Event special.
With this in mind, there had been some speculation about potential title changes in the top divisions or Raw and SmackDown… Before two announcements from TKO/WWE changed the conversation entirely.
While the company hasn’t explicitly posted “X defeats Y on Saturday”, fans have criticised the company following these announcements, believing that they give away upcoming world title match results.
The question is, is this true?

Finn Balor appears to be a top contender for the Undisputed WWE Championship, especially following his appearance on the October 2 SmackDown episode.
During the show, Balor confronted Sami Zayn, following the champion’s in-ring segment with the upcoming Money in the Bank participants.
Zayn told Balor – who isn’t in the Money in the Bank ladder match – that if he wants a title shot, he needs to do something to earn one, leading Balor to strike Zayn, and GUNTHER to also get involved in the mix.
With Balor and GUNTHER both vying for Undisputed WWE Championship shots, a TKO announcement has revealed that Balor will miss a major show.
TKO has confirmed that Finn Balor and Bayley will both be at the Zuffa Boxing 12 event in London, England on November 7. This is the same date as Crown Jewel, which will take place in Riyah, Saudi Arabia.
As the Undisputed WWE Champion and World Heavyweight Title holder traditionally face off to crown the Crown Jewel Champion at this annual event, Balor’s omission from the card seems to indicate that he won’t win WWE’s top prize, at least not before November 7.

Roman Reigns will next defend the World Heavyweight Championship at Money in the Bank on October 10, against LA Knight.
Following recent speculation about whether Knight will ever hold a world title in WWE, the company has made an interesting post about a future episode of Raw.
On October 6, WWE officially announced that “World Heavyweight Champion Roman Reigns” will appear live on WWE Raw in San Diego on October 19, sharing a graphic of Reigns holding the gold.
The Twitter comments section is filled with fans questioning whether WWE just spoiled the result of the Money in the Bank main event, considering that they referred to Reigns as a champion in an advertisement for an event taking place over a week later.
Spoiled or salvageable?
With Roman Reigns heavily advertised for the show across listings on WWE.com and AXS and LA Knight not appearing on either listing, it does make sense why fans feel that the company is making the upcoming title match result too obvious, however personally, I think that confirmation bias is heavily affecting people’s opinions of this post.
For those unfamiliar, confirmation bias is a term used in psychology for the tendency to recall, favor or pay attention to information that supports existing beliefs while ignoring conflicting evidence. If I told you that 90% of cars are now silver, and the next three cars to pass are silver, silver and red, you may still believe me and discount the red car.
Roman Reigns was already heavily expected to win on Saturday – even if he really shouldn’t – with the company previously building to a title defense against Oba Femi, which reports have indicated is planned for WrestleMania 43.
Similarly, reports had also stated that WWE had plans for Roman Reigns vs Sami Zayn at Crown Jewel, which makes it easy to interpret both posts as spoilers, or indications that these reports are correct.
In reality, nothing in WWE is finalised until the bell rings, as has been shown to us on numerous occasions. WWE has drilled “card subject to change” into our heads so much over the years that it has become a running joke online.
Will Roman Reigns and Sami Zayn retain their gold ahead of November 7? Reports indicate yes. While these posts seem to hint that the reports are correct, we’ll have to wait and see what actually happens in the upcoming matches.
