This week’s episode of SmackDown (October 13) is set to serve as the season premiere of the show.
The show is set to feature not only the return of Undisputed WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns, but also an appearance from Triple H.
With Triple H’s appearance being saved for SmackDown, many have wondered what he could be appearing on the show to say or do.
Here are 7 possible reasons why Triple H could be set to appear on SmackDown this week.
7. Jey Uso’s Trade Compensation
An overarching storyline on WWE programming right now concerns Main Event Jey Uso, and his recent switch to Monday Night Raw.
When Cody Rhodes brought Jey to Raw, it was with the clause that SmackDown would have trade compensation for losing Jey to Raw.
Perhaps Triple H appearing on SmackDown is in relation to the trade the blue brand could be receiving for Jey’s departure.
Jey is now able to float over to SmackDown due to being a Tag Team Champion, so he could also be set for the show on Friday.
