8. More AEW Defections
While Punk’s AEW exit was imposed upon him by Tony Khan, he joins what is a growing list of stars who have made the move from AEW to WWE with Jade Cargill and Lexis King (Brian Pillman Jr.) others who have done so in 2023.
With Andrade El Idolo likely to be the next in the very near future following the expiry of his contract, it does pose the question of who will be next?
The likes of ex-WWE guys like Malakai Black and Miro have all been speculated to be interested in a return, while AEW homegrown talent like MJF and Ricky Starks are two names fans feel would be a natural fit.
Regardless who does so, I would 100% expect to at least have a handful of examples by the time 2024 closes.
