2022 & 2023, were without question the most bat-sh*t insane years I can remember in WWE history.
Signings we never thought possible, massive shifts in power at the top, Emmy-worthy drama on-screen and one ever-present world title reign sowing it all together.
So, it goes without saying that 2024 has its work cut out in order to top what we’ve already seen.
In this list we will make nine bold predictions for the year coming in WWE. This will mostly cover the actual stuff we see play out on screen; but I’m only human, so a smattering of behind-the-scenes drama may sneak in also.
So without further ado let’s jump in with, who else but the most-talked about man in all of pro wrestling…
9. No CM Punk Drama Ensues
Undoubtedly the biggest proprietor for wrestling’s insane news over 2022/2023 has been everyone’s favorite (or least favorite) Straight Edge Superstar: CM Punk.
Ever since All Out 2022 barely a day has gone by without seeing something Punk related on news feeds, and I like so many others certainly felt the fatigue by the time Punk was let go by the company almost exactly a year later.
With the Best in the World somehow doing what nobody thought possible and returning to WWE, the chance for him to wash away the drama and negativity that previously followed him is now upon us.
But will Punk follow through and actually remain on good behavior? Or will it all blow up like so many have predicted before the end of 2024?
Whether you love or loath Phil Brooks I think we’re all hoping that any news relating to him has positive connotations. Call me an optimist but I feel deep down like he’s going to actually do it, if for no other reason but to prove his detractors wrong.
