10 Underused WWE & AEW Stars Who Deserve More In 2024 WWE, AEW

With 2023 almost in the books it’s fairly easy to pick out the names that ranked as the best of the best.

You’ve got your GUNTHER’s, Seth Rollins, Will Ospreay, MJF, Bryan Danielson, Rhea Ripley etc, etc.

As much as those names and many more had stellar years however, it’s also easy to pick out those that left us all wanting this year, typically through no fault of their own. Instead being the victims of a serious lack of creative opportunities.

Admittedly when compiling this list I feel that WWE in particular had less than usual to choose from, with Triple H doing a far better job than his father-in-law at properly utilising his roster.

That’s not to say he’s innocent completely. Same with Tony Khan of course, who has had a (likely overly) stacked roster to juggle for a while now. Regardless the reasoning, let’s check out 10 names from both WWE & AEW who deserve more in 2024.

10. Keith Lee

Now, firstly I must applaud Tony Khan for FINALLY booking the grudge match we should have had about a year ago: Swerve Strickland vs Keith Lee.

As much as it’s nice to get some closure to that chapter at Worlds End, it’s truly difficult to fathom just how much TK fumbled that rivalry and… Well… Keith Lee’s 2023 in general.

When Lee slipped through Vince McMahon’s grasp many were lamenting him for somehow not seeing what they had with Mr. Bask in his Glory. His size, speed and overall presence when on TV just screams star.

Yet, somehow AEW have managed to do the exact same thing and fail to properly use Lee to his potential. The only saving grace being, he hasn’t been renamed Bearcat… Yet.

Meanwhile, Swerve has gone on to be perhaps AEW’s breakout star of the entire year. Got to sting a bit for the big man. But alas, hopefully a big performance at Worlds End can see him kick on and have a much improved 2024.
