WWE Hall of Fame 2027 headline inductee plans: Another early announcement to be made?

In what was change from WWE’s usual Hall of Fame plans, the company last year named Stephanie McMahon as the headline inductee of the 2026 class in September – a whole seven months before the ceremony took place.

While there has not yet been any word of this happening again, WWE could make this a tradition going forward and get the ball rolling on next year’s Hall of Fame class in the next few months.

Here are three potential WWE Hall of Fame 2027 inductees:

John Cena

Now that John Cena is 100% retired from the squared-circle, it is an inevitability that WWE honor their ‘Greatest of All Time’ with a headline spot in the Hall of Fame.

While he was certainly a polarising figure for much of his active WWE career, by the time he got to his 2025 Farewell Tour, fans rightfully celebrated Cena for his contributions to WWE and the wrestling business – even throughout his attempts to play a nasty heel character.

With 17 world titles, two Royal Rumble wins and many, many more accolades to his name, Cena’s legacy is unmatched, and he has to rank as one of the favorites to be inducted into the 2027 WWE Hall of Fame.

Shane McMahon

With Triple H getting inducted in 2025 and his wife Stephanie McMahon in 2026, why not make three in a row and induct Shane-O-Mac in 2027?

While some fans would perhaps roll their eyes at that, Shane McMahon is undoubtedly Hall of Fame worthy. His willingness to take risks inside the ring, that he really, really didn’t need to was always something that gained him a lot of admiration and respect from the fanbase.

Shane hasn’t been seen on WWE programming since WrestleMania 39, and did make headlines in 2024 when he met with AEW President Tony Khan at a private airport to discuss “possibilities moving forward.”

This never led to anything in the end despite all the noise, so it would seem as if all is well for Shane to make a return to WWE, even if just for a Hall of Fame induction next year.

Brock Lesnar

The latest of what has been three major WWE retirements over the past year, and Brock Lesnar officially called time on his career after losing to Oba Femi inside Hell in a Cell at SummerSlam 2026.

Like Cena, Lesnar has been a polarizing figure in WWE, particularly during his stranglehold over the main event picture in the mid to late 2010s. However, his box office appeal, legitimacy and understanding of the pro wrestling business is hard to deny.

With AJ Styles’ 2026 Hall of Fame induction being announced just a month after his retirement, WWE could do something similar with Brock and make an announcement while he’s still fresh in the memory of the fans.

While he almost certainly wouldn’t be getting a surprise visit from The Undertaker to break the news, a Lesnar WWE Hall of Fame 2027 announcement could be something we hear about soon.
