WWE Raw & SmackDown stars who are ready to become first time world champions

When looking at the WWE roster, there are not many stars who have held a world title before.

There are a litany of young up-and-coming talent who have been making their name and solidify themselves as the future of the industry. Elsewhere, there are veteran stars who can be launched to stratosphere with a world title win.

With so many different names putting themselves in position for a big time victory, WWE could crown some first time world champions in the weeks and months to come.

Here are ten WWE stars who are potentially ready to become first time world champions.

Penta

On the September 14 edition of Monday Night Raw, Penta got his first shot at a WWE world title when he challenged Roman Reigns for the World Heavyweight Championship.

After winning the number one contender’s tournament, it felt like Penta’s time to shine in front of a raucous crowd in his hometown of Mexico City.

While he took “The OTC” to the limit, Penta came up short against Reigns on this night.

Despite this loss, it is clear that Penta is more than ready to become a first time world champion sooner rather than later.

Roxanne Perez

During her time on WWE NXT, it did not take long for Roxanne Perez to win championship gold.

Over the course of her run on the brand, Perez was a two-time NXT Women’s Champion and a former NXT Women’s Tag Team Champion.

“The Prodigy” has been mostly playing a background role in The Judgment Day alongside Liv Morgan and Raquel Rodriguez.

After Morgan lost the WWE Women’s World Championship to Stephanie Vaquer, it could be Perez who brings that title back to The Judgment Day, most likely through a win in the Women’s Money In The Bank Ladder Match.

Blake Monroe

Following WrestleMania 42, Blake Monroe started to get teased for a WWE main roster debut.

The former Mariah May has since joined the Friday Night SmackDown brand.

While she has yet to step in the ring for her debut, it has been clear that Monroe is being prepared for big things in the future.

Being a former AEW Women’s World Champion, it shouldn’t be long before Blake Monroe becomes a world champion in WWE.

Jacy Jayne

Starting out on WWE NXT alongside Mandy Rose and Gigi Dolin, Jacy Jayne was once known as the third member of Toxic Attraction.

However, Jayne would improve and soon became a top star on the brand, becoming a two-time NXT Women’s Champion, former TNA Knockouts World Champion and the leader of Fatal Influence.

Now alongside WWE Women’s Tag Team Champion Lainey Reid and Fallon Henley, Jayne and Fatal Influence have taken Friday Night SmackDown by storm.

Holding the WWE Women’s United States Champion, it would make a lot of sense to see Jacy Jayne win a world title on the main roster in the not-so-distant future.

Chad Gable

Since losing The Original El Grande Americano mask in May, Chad Gable has returned to WWE on a mission.

The former Olympian had his own redemption arc asking for forgiveness from the luchadors, the fans and his former stablemates in Alpha Academy.

Then at WWE SummerSlam 2026, Gable beat Penta to become the new Intercontinental Champion.

With his success as IC Champ so far, it now seems possible for Gable to finally win the big one and become a world champion sometime in the future.

Trick Williams

After making his WWE main roster debut, Trick Williams made it clear that he had his sights on world championship gold.

It did not take Williams too long before he was champion, defeating Sami Zayn for the United States Title at WrestleMania 42.

Since then, Trick is now a two-time reigning US Champion and will have plenty more success in his future.

Being positioned as one of WWE’s newest top stars, Trick has everything it takes to one day win a world title, which could happen sooner than most think.

Lash Legend

Speaking of Trick Williams, his real life wife Lash Legend has also established herself as a breakout name on the WWE roster.

Through her pairing with Nia Jax, Legend has proven to be a force to be reckoned with in singles and tag team competition.

Legend has the size, power and aggression to become a singles champion whenever she sees fit.

Following in Jax’s footsteps, Lash Legend might be next up in the women’s division and a future world champion before long.

Bronson Reed

At WWE Sunday Night’s Main Event, Bronson Reed made his return and attacked Oba Femi during his match with Bron Breakker.

Since joining Breakker in The Vision, it has been clear that Reed is viewed as a key player for the future.

During his main roster run, Reed has yet to win a singles title and could put herself in position to be in contention following his recent return.

With his unstoppable Tsunami, it would not surprise anyone see Bronson Reed propel himself to a world title win.

Bron Breakker

Speaking of Bronson Reed, Bron Breakker has been lauded as a future WrestleMania headliner in The Vision.

Back in January, Breakker challenged CM Punk for the World Heavyweight Title for the first time.

While he came up short, Breakker proved that he could stand toe-to-toe with “The Best In The World.”

Whether it is through a Money In The Bank win or finally headlining his first Mania, Bron Breakker seems destined to become a WWE World Champion in his young career.

Oba Femi

Ever since making his WWE main roster debut in January, Oba Femi has been pegged for superstardom.

At WrestleMania 42, Femi defeated Brock Lesnar in dominating fashion. Then at WWE SummerSlam 2026, Femi beat Lesnar again inside Hell In A Cell.

After Lesnar gave him the stamp of approval as “the future,” “The Beast Incarnate” announced his retirement from in-ring competition.

Now known as the man who retired Brock and this year’s King of the Ring winner, Oba Femi is now poised to be the face of WWE for years to come, starting with an inevitable world title victory.
