A WWE name has addressed a recent loss for Giulia in a qualifying match for the Women’s Championship ladder match at SummerSlam.

Ahead of SummerSlam on August 1 & 2, a tournament would be held to determine the interim WWE Women’s Championship, with Rhea Ripley having had to vacate the title due to injury.

The final place in the ladder match was awarded to Lash Legend on the July 31 episode of SmackDown, with her victory over Giulia in a relatively short match.

With that match clocking in at around two minutes, AJ Styles would discuss the decision on a recent episode of his AJ Styles Show, saying:

“There may be a story there that we’re doing based on the match that happened. Just because the match happened doesn’t mean we can’t go back to it and have a story.

“Maybe this is the start of a story for Giulia, going back and winning that match. I’m not so sure. But before we get pissed off about what’s going on with Giulia, let’s see where it goes. Just give it a second; let’s see where it’s going.”

Chelsea Green would go on to defeat Tiffany Stratton, Jade Cargill, Charlotte Flair & Lash Legend in the ladder match on August 2.

The Potential Of The Plan

As AJ Styles points out, there’s also the possibility that a plan exists and, perhaps, fans will now get to experience a feud between Lash Legend and Giulia.

It’s also possible that Legend, Cargill, Flair and Stratton will all pursue the Interim Women’s Championship, now that it’s in the hands of Chelsea Green. Then there’s the eventual return of Rhea Ripley that will no doubt play a factor in the future of the interim championship.

With Blake Monroe crossing paths with Stratton and Green, and the rumored imminent arrival of Lola Vice, there’s plenty of opportunity for new rivalries in the women’s roster on SmackDown.

When it comes to Monroe, it wasn’t that long ago that she attacked Giulia, with that moment taking place on the June 26 episode of SmackDown.

A quick loss isn’t necessarily the end of the story for Giulia and whatever is to come will hopefully remind fans of just what the star has to offer when it comes to intense rivalries.
