With a tease of a main roster debut, Lola Vice has now made the move from NXT to WWE Raw and may be set for a major push.

The former NXT Women’s Champion made her main roster debut on the September 14 episode of WWE Raw, competing in the women’s Money in the Bank qualifying match.

Vice would be victorious in the Triple Threat, defeating Kelani Jordan and Raquel Rodriguez, securing a spot in the women’s Money in the Bank match on October 10.

Four more names will be added to the match over the coming weeks, with Vice joining fellow former NXT star Sol Ruca.

Arriving on the main roster and being placed into a prominent position from her very debut bolds well for the star, but what could the future hold?

Lola Vice: WWE Women’s Championship Contender

The winner of the Money in the Bank match will get a title match, with Stephanie Vaquer as the Women’s World Champion on WWE Raw.

So soon after her debut, Lola Vice could be set to step into the ring with either, and it would be a match that won’t disappoint. Vice and Vaquer crossed paths in NXT, but never in singles competition.

Picking Up The Thread

Over in AAA, Chelsea Green teamed with Ethan Page to defend the World Mixed Tag Team Championship against Lola Vice & Mr. Iguana. The title would change hands in February of this year, with Green absent and replaced by La Hiedra. That’s a thread to pick up, surely.

Of course, with Green on SmackDown, this would require a change of brand for Vice, or an invasion angle of sorts to explain how she hopped to the other show to handle business.

Vice City

Earlier in August, WWE filed a trademark application for the term “Vice City“, with the suggestion that this could be for the now former NXT star.

“Vice City” would be referenced during the star’s entrance on WWE Raw, with the trademark no doubt enforcing the term brought to the main roster.

With GTA VI due for release in November, it would be an oversight not to seek a brand deal between the popular video game franchise and the WWE star.

The Crossover Star

With AAA under the ownership of WWE, there’s plenty of opportunity for Lola Vice to continue her ascendancy in Mexico, potentially in singles championship contention.

Allowing her to hone her skills on the main roster and in AAA could add extra edge to an already talent star, as well as maintaining her popularity in Mexico.

Lola Vice: Women’s Champion

Money in the Bank doesn’t have to be the start of a championship run, particularly as the final participants in the titular women’s match are yet to be revealed.

Championships will eventually be in Vice’s possession, however, and emulating the journey that Sol Ruca has been on, capturing the Women’s Intercontinental Championship first would do little to diminish the quality of the star.

The Ascendancy Of The NXT Women’s Roster

In his return to NXT, Grayson Waller cut a promo where he stated that the women’s roster was “running laps” around their male counterparts. He would go on to indicate that, of the 10% of the roster who were ready for a call-up, women made up the total.

Arguably, it does feel that there is depth to the women’s roster in NXT that makes it easier for them to move to the main roster and find success. This isn’t to say that the men can’t follow suit, potentially it’s more difficult for male stars to stand out when it comes to visualizing them on a main roster that is as plentiful and developed as it is.

In July of this year, Charlotte Flair stated that women in WWE ” always had to work that much harder because there are fewer spots” while speaking to Glamour, which could certainly explain why they find themselves in the position that they are in.
