WWE Money In The Bank 2026: A Roxanne Perez victory must spark the end of the Judgment Day

WWE Money In The Bank 2026 is set to take place on October 10 in New Orleans, with this year’s women’s Money In The Bank match featuring an exciting line up of young competitors.

On last night’s episode of Raw, Roxanne Perez was the latest to qualify for the women’s match, joining Sol Ruca, Lola Vice and Jacy Jayne in the line up.

For a long time, Roxanne has been seen by many to be the favourite to win the briefcase, but her victory must also signify the end of the Judgment Day.

The law of diminishing returns

When the Judgment Day was at it’s peak in 2023, the group was presented as a top act on Monday Night Raw, which included Rhea Ripley’s run as Women’s World Champion, Damian Priest winning Money In The Bank and later the World Heavyweight Championship, Balor and Priest winning the Tag Team Championship and Dominik Mysterio winning the NXT North American Championship.

With the group being presented at the top of the show, and feuding with many top names such as Cody Rhodes, Seth Rollins, Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn, the era of prime Judgment Day undoubtedly helped all involved at the time.

Even months later, when Rhea and Priest would leave the group as Liv Morgan and Raquel Rodriguez joined, the association with the group helped established Liv as Women’s World Champion during the time.

Even Roxanne, who had just been called up to the main roster at the time, joining the group, while criticised at the time due to fans believing the act had grown stale, helped establish her as a member of the Raw roster to where she is now seen as the favourite to win Money In The Bank, while several of her peers also called up at the time are struggling for TV time.

WWE can’t seem to move on

In a lot of ways, WWE is still hoping to chase the high that the company had back in 2024, and the continued existence of the Judgment Day has started to drag down all involved.

After he was arguably the hottest heel in the entire company for several years since joining the group, Dominik Mysterio now feels the furthest away from a main event spot he has been since he was a vanilla babyface tag teaming with his father.

Dominik’s reactions are not what they used to be, with him taking continued losses on television, most notably in the Human Monies on a Pole match to Danhausen at SummerSlam, leading to him slotting himself in a midcard role.

Despite winning the Royal Rumble and Women’s World Championship at WrestleMania, Liv Morgan feels more stagnant as a character than she has in years, with her issues with the Judgment Day continuing to be kicked down the road.

Issues between Liv and Raquel flared up back in January when Liv eliminated Raquel from the Royal Rumble, leading to the belief that they were destined for an imminent break up, potentially with Raquel costing Liv her title match at WrestleMania.

That was eight months ago, we are now almost in October and not only has the betrayal not happened, they’ve never been closer, with the issues between them basically never having existed at this point.

The resurgence of Finn Balor on SmackDown came due to him distancing himself from the group, with his return to his babyface side considered a fresh new direction for him after four years as part of the Judgment Day.

Roxanne Perez must end the group

Much like the Bloodline, associating with the Judgment Day is no longer the guaranteed success it once was, with the group now being seen as a hinderance to most of it’s members.

The major drawback to Roxanne winning Money In The Bank is the implication that it would lead to the Judgment Day once again regaining full control over the Raw women’s division.

With Liv likely set to regain the Women’s World Championship from Stephanie Vaquer, WWE should waste little time in having Roxanne cash in Money In The Bank to take the title from her and finally begin the start of the end of the group.

Finn Balor was the one who recruited Roxanne to the group in order to plant seeds of tension between her and Liv, it’s only fitting that it’s his addition to the group to be the one to end it once and for all, setting all involved on different paths for the first time in years.
