The WWE Money in the Bank ladder match qualifiers are well underway, with Bron Breakker and Sol Ruca securing their spots on the card.
While the ladder matches take center stage, there should be at least three matches to accompany them on the final card.
Luckily for WWE, there are at least three big potential world title matches on the horizon that could be booked for the October 10 event.
Here are three potential world title matches we could see at WWE Money in the Bank 2026.
Stephanie Vaquer (c) vs. Becky Lynch vs. Liv Morgan – WWE Women’s World Championship
Title changes at non-televised WWE live events are as rare as they come, let alone a world title changing hands, but that’s exactly what the fans at WWE’s live event in Santiago, Chile were treated to on Saturday night (September 12).
In front of her home fans, Vaquer captured her second Women’s World Title by pinning Liv Morgan, following an assist from special guest referee Becky Lynch.
With Morgan out for revenge on both Vaquer and Lynch, and Becky yet to be given her own title shot, it feels only right that WWE books a three-way for the Women’s World Title at Money in the Bank next month.
Sami Zayn (c) vs. Randy Orton – Undisputed WWE Championship
Stephanie Vaquer’s win was, of course, not the only world title change this past weekend, as on the September 11 episode of Friday Night SmackDown, Sami Zayn dethroned CM Punk for the Undisputed WWE Championship.
The match’s finish was chaotic, with Johnny Gargano, Candice LeRae and Kevin Owens getting involved in the action leading to Zayn capitalizing and getting the win.
With Zayn undoubtedly going to be ultra focused on ensuring he hangs on to his title longer than the nine days of his first run, he’s going to be reluctant to dish out title opportunities, although he did promise one to Johnny Gargano before he helped Zayn win the title.
While it would certainly be nice to see WWE give Gargano a big spot like challenging for the title at a PLE, Randy Orton seems the likelier candidate given he has already staked his claim for a shot at the gold, and is fresh off a win over Cody Rhodes at Sunday Night’s Main Event.
Roman Reigns vs. LA Knight – World Heavyweight Championship
While there are certainly many options on the table for the Undisputed WWE Championship, Roman Reigns’ World Heavyweight Title picture seems rather cut and dry; it has to be LA Knight up next surely.
Of course, Reigns has to get through Penta in Mexico City on Monday first, but most would be expecting him to do so. And if/when he does, it is surely ‘The Megastar’ who’s next in line for an opportunity.
Knight has been banging on Reigns’ door for almost the entire year, but has yet to receive his one-on-one title opportunity. With Money in the Bank around the corner, and Reigns advertised for the event, it feels almost certain that WWE finally book their World Heavyweight Title match for New Orleans.
