WWE PG Era Pushes That Failed Miserably

The Miz

It’s a bit weird to put the Miz in this list given all the brilliant things he has done in more recent years, but I’m afraid he just has to be here.

He will never not be the man that headlined WrestleMania XXVII with John Cena for the WWE Championship, and we’re always going to have to live with that. Not only that, but he actually won…

Miz’s issue was that until his sudden push, he was the definition of a mid-carder. He was one half of tag team Miz & Morrison, and that was pretty much it.

Although he made huge improvements to both his in-ring and mic skills, fans never got behind him. Nevertheless, he won the Money in the Bank briefcase and he was off.

Cashing in on Randy Orton to win the WWE title, Miz then feuded with Randy and Jerry Lawler of all people, before he met him match in the form of John Cena, who, despite losing to Miz at ‘Mania, finally triumphed at Extreme Rules in the same year.

Unlike the others, Miz hasn’t completely disappeared from the main event, and remains a vital component of WWE to this day.
