WWE Royal Rumble 2020 Preview: Start Time, How To Watch, Match Card, Predictions

Women’s Royal Rumble Match

Confirmed Participants: Carmella, Sarah Logan, Nikki Cross, Charlotte Flair, Natalya, Alexa Bliss, Dana Brooke

This year’s women’s Royal Rumble match only has seven women confirmed. This means that a staggering 23 spots are open for NXT stars and surprise entrants.

The winner will likely feud with Bayley or Becky Lynch, both of whom I expect to hold their respective championships until WrestleMania 36 at the very least.

Prediction: Shayna Baszler

I previously stated how this year’s women’s Rumble match will have a lot of NXT entrants and I fully expect one of those NXT stars to win the match.

Former NXT Women’s Champion Shayna Baszler said that she isn’t done with NXT on this week’s show, but I expect her to move up to Raw with a win here, starting a feud with Becky Lynch.

With regards to surprise entrants in the match, I expect likes of Naomi, Nia Jax and Ruby Riott to return in the women’s Royal Rumble.

Men’s Royal Rumble Match

Confirmed Participants: Roman Reigns, Brock Lesnar, AJ Styles, Erick Rowan, Randy Orton, Rey Mysterio, Ricochet, Drew McIntyre, Elias, King Corbin, Dolph Ziggler, Otis, Tucker, Rusev, Bobby Lashley, Aleister Black, Buddy Murphy, Braun Strowman, Shinsuke Nakamura, Seth Rollins, Kevin Owens, Samoa Joe, Kofi Kingston, Big E, R-Truth, John Morrison, The Miz

Unlike the women’s rumble, 27 wrestlers have been confirmed for the men’s rumble match, leaving just three for surprise entrants and NXT superstars.

That being said, this year’s rumble is set to be very interesting with WWE Champion Brock Lesnar entering at number one, so I am very much looking forward to this one.

Prediction: Roman Reigns

Although this one shouldn’t happen, Roman Reigns will more than likely win the men’s 2020 Royal Rumble and go on to face The Fiend at WrestleMania 36.

This rumble match could be fun though, and I am especially looking forward to the storytelling that takes place featuring Seth Rollins, Buddy Murphy and their faction.

With regards to surprise entrants, I don’t expect Edge to be involved, so I think WWE would throw in three NXT stars like Matt Riddle, Keith Lee and Pete Dunne.
