WWE stars to return soon: Four stars who could come back in the final months of 2026

A number of WWE stars recently made their returns, with Bronson Reed showing up at Sunday Night’s Main Event, and Bayley showing up on the following episode of Raw.

Following these comebacks, there have been rumors swirling about other stars potentially showing up on Raw and SmackDown again, following their recent absences.

From stars who have been off TV for several months, to those recently the subjects of injury scares, there are a number of competitors who could make appearances soon, with Crown Jewel, Survivor Series and the road to WrestleMania 43 right around the corner.

Here are four WWE stars who appear set to return soon.

Drew McIntyre’s latest social media post has fuelled a lot of speculation about his return, having been absent from WWE TV for over five months.

McIntyre shared a video of him running the ropes in a pro-wrestling ring at Rusev’s KECH Pro-Wrestling Academy, indicating that he is preparing to make an in-ring comeback.

The Scottish Warrior last competed at WrestleMania 42, coming up short against Jacob Fatu in their Unsanctioned match.

Following McIntyre filming for multiple Hollywood movies during his absence, many fans are expecting the former Undisputed WWE Champion to hit the ground running upon his return to TV.

Rusev

Speaking of Rusev, the Bulgarian Brute is another star who will be preparing to step back into the ring.

Fans voiced concerns for Rusev following his match against Je’Von Evans on the July 27 Raw episode, during which Rusev could be heard telling the referee that his hand went numb following a strike.

On the September 11 edition of Notsam Wrestling, CJ Perry confirmed that Rusev had been cleared to compete, and at that time, was preparing to train at the WWE Performance Center, as well as Nattie’s Dungeon facility.

Following confirmation that Rusev is now able to wrestle, it’s only a matter of time until we see him back on our screens.

Jordynne Grace & Ivy Nile

There has been a lot of speculation about what’s next for Jordynne Grace & Ivy Nile, who are rumored to be returning to WWE as a tag-team.

Following previous reports that there had been creative discussions about pairing these two stars together, Fightful reported that WWE sources believed the company’s recent “Iron Built” trademark filing was tied to the two stars.

Nile and Grace were also both reportedly “awaiting creative” with neither being injured, although Grace recently shared footage from her recent return to bodybuilding.

With there being some uncertainty surrounding the duos’ statuses with the company, it’ll be interesting to see how the rumored return plays out.
