Formed in April of last year, it may be time to call it a day for The Vision, particularly with the direction of Bron Breakker’s stardom.
Bron Breakker is the only member of the original incarnation of The Vision, with Seth Rollins having been kicked in October of last year and Paul Heyman walking away from the faction earlier this year.
The return of Bronson Reed at WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event has seen The Vision made whole again, but disharmony is likely to follow as surely as the eventual break-up.
But, what form could the dissolution take?
The Bron And Only
One-half of the World Tag Team Champions, Bronson Reed’s “future of WWE” match against Oba Femi saw Bronson Reed return in wrecking ball mode.
Heyman wasn’t overly impressed with what went down, with Femi securing a victory by disqualification, and it was Reed who had much of the focus on him as he raised Breakker’s hand.
How Breakker squares what went down at Saturday Night’s Main Event remains to be seen, though there’s an opportunity to play into the idea that the star seemingly needed Reed to get the job done.
Breaking the son of Rick Steiner away from The Vision might be the best move for a star seen as the “future of WWE”, focusing on a rise to the top without the faction.
Bronson Reed Solo Run
Having returned from injury, Bronson Reed still looks like the beast he was before his absence. He’s shown his character in the past and there’s little reason why he should be able to do so again, but on his own terms.
Very much like Breakker, Reed has the potential to grab that top star spot, with his confidence on the microphone matched by his physical presence and prowess.
Having been a thorn in the side of Roman Reigns in the past and being ‘The Tribal Thief’ thanks to stealing The OTC’s footwear, Reed has teased causing chaos for The Bloodline leader once again. Seeing him go toe-to-toe with Reigns once again would be a step in the right direction for another star who may just have outgrown The Vision.
Austin Theory & Logan Paul
Austin Theory and Logan Paul were entertaining as a tag team, a journey that came to an abrupt end with the latter suffering an injury, which sees him absent from in-ring action, although remaining a presence on screen.
Keeping the pair together outside of The Vision could be a good move creatively. Theory has a sense of purpose in The Vision, something that was also evident as a member of The Way in NXT, and certainly has the look to be a top star. Logan Paul has proven, since signing with WWE, just what an asset he is to the company and a top title run will no doubt be in his future. They could both exist separately, but leaning into that “bro energy” may just do wonders for them outside of The Vision.
Free Maxxine Dupri
The most recent addition to The Vision, Maxxine Dupri joined the faction as a former Women’s Intercontinental Champion and is currently closely tied to Austin Theory, while running interference for her teammates where necessary.
This isn’t the say that the star has been absent from the ring, recently competing in the Money in the Bank Qualifying Triple Threat that would be won by Sol Ruca earlier this month.
Dupri has been a semi-regular fixture on WWE Main Event and it would be a shame to not see her sharpen those in-ring skills by continuing her wrestling career.
Putting her alongside Austin Theory does give the star a purpose in The Vision, although it’s a journey we’ve seen before with Dominik Mysterio and Liv Morgan. With that relationship still going strong, Dupri and Theory will always be in their shadow. Perhaps the time will come for Dupri to return to singles competition in her own right, be it on Raw or over in AAA, away from The Vision, Alpha Academy and any other faction that may come calling.
The Vision Served A Purpose
Very much like Judgment Day, The Vision has served a purpose when it comes to creative goals. Rhea Ripley, Damian Priest and Dominik Mysterio were all, arguably, elevated by their association with the faction, while there are arguments to be made as to whether the current iteration of Judgment Day has the same impact.
Judgment Day along with The Bloodline have proven that factions can be long-running entities in WWE. The Vision, however, has seemingly lost its purpose, particularly with Paul Heyman no longer part of the faction, despite having something to say on this week’s episode of WWE Raw.
Perhaps their purpose will be explored further in the future, with Bron Breakker establishing himself as the de facto leader, refocusing the faction on domination and doing as much damage as possible in the process.
