An absent WWE star has reacted to the company announcing shows in his home country, teasing a rematch against World Heavyweight Champion Roman Reigns.
WWE recently announced the date and location of this year’s Wrestlepalooza premium live event, with the show set to emanate from Perth, Australia on December 12.
This show will be part of WWE’s “weekend takeover” of Perth, with the preceding SmackDown episode on December 11, and the following Raw on December 14, to also emanate from the RAC Arena.
Several notable WWE stars are from Australia, including Bronson Reed, who was raised in Adelaide, South Australia.
Reed took to Twitter to comment on WWE’s announcement, hinting at a future match against the current World Heavyweight Champion.
The 2024 Andre The Giant Memorial Battle Royal winner wrote:
“Might mess around and beat Roman again.”
Bronson Reed and Roman Reigns are 1-1 in singles encounters, with Reigns defeating Reed at Clash In Paris in August 2025. Reed ultimately stood tall, attacking Reigns following the match.
At Crown Jewel in October 2025 – also in Perth – Bronson Reed scored a victory over the OTC in an Australian Street Fight.
This isn’t the first time Bronson Reed has spoken about potentially facing Roman Reigns again, with the Vision faction member calling for a “rubber match” following Reigns’ World Heavyweight Title win at WrestleMania 42.
Bronson Reed has been out of action for six months, having last wrestled on the February 23 edition of Raw. During his match against Jey Uso and the Original El Grande Americano (Chad Gable), Reed tore his bicep while breaking up a pin.
PWInsider recently reported that Reed is “very close’ to making his return. Reed has since shared videos of himself at WWE Headquarters in Stamford, CT, fuelling rumors that he’s set for an imminent comeback.
WWE Hall of Famer AJ Styles – who’s temporarily working as a coach at the Performance Center – recently praised Bronson Reed’s physique, believing that his current fitness level shows that he’s ready to come back to work.
Another Vision faction member is also out of action due to an injury, with Logan Paul suffering a torn tricep at the Saturday Night’s Main Event special in May.
Nattie has stated that she wants Logan Paul to train at her Dungeon facility once he’s healthy to “dial in his wrestling.”
