‘From Behind Like The P**sy You Are’ – WWE Stars Have Heated Exchange After SmackDown Attack

A pair of WWE stars went back and forth on social media after an altercation on the August 28 episode of SmackDown.

For the first time since June 2016, Paige competed for a singles championship on WWE programming during last night’s episode of SmackDown, as the English star challenged Jacy Jayne for the Women’s United States Title.

In what was also Jayne’s first defense of the gold since winning it two weeks ago from Tiffany Stratton, the Fatal Influence star successfully retained with a roll-up pin after some well timed interference from WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions Lainey Reid and Fallon Henley.

But unfortunately for Paige the loss wasn’t as bad as it got, as her rival Nikki Bella made her return to SmackDown after several weeks off TV and attacked her former friend.

Taking to Twitter after SmackDown, Paige branded Nikki a “p**sy” for attacking her from behind, which led to a response from the WWE Hall of Famer.

Paige wrote:

From behind like the pussy you are @NikkiAndBrie I promise you, I’ll get ahold of you very soon and end your dusty comeback..

Nikki replied:

lol dusty… can’t be dusty when you’re an iconic legend and Hall of Famer and this pu**y ain’t the kind like little bitches… it’s strong, iconic, memorable and fearless.

You Can Look… But You Can’t Touch… you got it???

Closing off their exchange, Paige wrote:

Should’ve choked me harder babe. Was starting to enjoy it

Nikki Bella and her sister Brie turned heel on Paige at WWE SummerSlam 2026, however, Brie suffered a broken scapula during their preceding six-woman tag team match with Fatal Influence. In an update after her injury, Brie revealed she’s set for three to six months on the shelf.

It’s unclear what the company’s original plans were for Paige’s feud with The Bella Twins, but it appears as if the company are moving forward with a one-on-one feud between Nikki and Paige for the time being.

AJ Lee’s WWE Return On Hold Until Brie Bella Gets Cleared?

As mentioned, it’s not known what WWE had cooking for Paige and The Bella Twins before Brie’s SummerSlam injury, however, one of the likelier scenarios has to have involved AJ Lee.

Like Paige and The Bellas, AJ Lee is one of the last remaining top stars of the divas era in WWE, and both herself and Paige teamed up together to defeat Nikki & Brie back at WrestleMania 31.

With all four back in the company for the first time since 2015 – and Paige in need of a friend against The Bellas – it seemed likely that AJ could come back and help out her former partner.

With no sign of AJ since WrestleMania 42, Brie’s injury could mean fans of the three-time Divas Champion may be forced to wait a little longer for her return to TV; unless WWE find something else for her to be involved in in the mean time.
