WWE’s Bronson Reed Calls For ‘Rubber Match’ Against New World Heavyweight Champion Roman Reigns WWE

Bronson Reed has sent a message to WWE World Heavyweight Champion Roman Reigns following his title win at WrestleMania 42.

Following his Royal Rumble victory in January, Roman Reigns challenged for CM Punk’s World Heavyweight Title in the main event match of WrestleMania 42 Night Two.

The OTC was ultimately victorious, walking out of the Allegiant Stadium on April 19 with his seventh WWE world championship.

One of Reigns’ former rivals has now teased challenging for the new champion’s title, calling for an eventual rubber match.

Bronson Reed took to his Instagram story with a message for Roman Reigns, writing:

Congrats… uce.

The way I see it. Give me a few months, we still got a rubber match.

Roman Reigns and Bronson Reed’s feud kicked off in 2025, with Reed stealing multiple pairs of Roman Reigns’ sneakers following attacks on Raw.

The two stars have met twice in one-on-one action, with Roman Reigns first defeating Bronson Reed at Clash In Paris in August 2025. Despite Reigns’ victory, Reed ultimately stood tall, with the Australian star and Bron Breakker brutalizing Reigns until he was stretchered out of the arena.

Bronson Reed won the second match the duo had, defeating Reigns in an Australian Street Fight during that October’s Crown Jewel Premium Live Event.

Reed is currently out of action recovering from a distal bicep tear suffered during his match against Jey Uso and the Original El Grande Americano on the February 23 Raw episode.

With Reed’s past dominant showings over Roman Reigns, the Aussie would be a great pick to emerge as an official challenger for the World Heavyweight Championship, providing that Reigns still holds the gold when Reed is cleared to return.

One man who could be a threat to this title reign is Oba Femi, who called out Roman Reigns after defeating Brock Lesnar at WrestleMania 42.
