The bracket for the 2023 edition of the NXT Women’s Breakout Tournament has been confirmed ahead of the tournament kicking off tonight.
The eight participants were confirmed at No Mercy, but we now know exactly who’ll be facing who at each stage of the tournament.
On the left hand side of the bracket, the first quarter-final is Kelani Jordan vs Izzi Dame.
Jordan has become a regular on NXT TV in recent weeks, even working a match with Blair Davenport on the pre-show for No Mercy.
Dame has had several matches on Level Up recently, but has yet to debut on NXT TV proper.
The second quarter-final on the left side of the draw is Arianna Grace vs Jakara Jackson.
Grace is the longest tenured participant in the tournament, as she even competed in last year’s, but she’d been out of action from October 2022 to September 2023 due to an injury, so she’s being re-established here.
Jackson has regularly been featured on NXT TV for a while now as a member of the Meta-Four alongside Noam Dar, Oro Mensah and Lash Legend.
That means one of the semi-finals for this year’s tournament will be Jordan or Dame vs Grace or Jackson.
Moving to the right side of the bracket, the first quarter final is Karmen Petrovic vs Jaida Parker.
Petrovic is in the same boat as Izzi Dame, as she’s been having matches on Level Up recently but hasn’t been on the main NXT TV show yet.
Parker, on the other hand, hasn’t even debuted on Level Up yet.
The last quarter final features Dani Palmer and Lola Vice.
Palmer has been on NXT TV since the start of the year, although has had matches on Level Up way more frequently than she’s had matches on TV.
Meanwhile, Vice only debuted on NXT TV in June, but had been working matches on Level Up months prior to that.
That means the second semi-final will be Petrovic or Parker vs Palmer or Vice.
Here’s what the bracket looks like:
