Absent AEW Star Says Comeback Is ‘Personal’ Amid Upcoming Return

An AEW star who has been out of action for over a year has continued to tease his comeback.

AEW star Santana was injured during last year’s Blood & Guts match, where he, Ortiz, Eddie Kingston and the Blackpool Combat Club defeated the Jericho Appreciation Society.

In recent weeks, Santana has been uploading teasers to social media, titled the ‘RICANstruction’, seemingly teasing that his return to the ring is imminent.

Today, Santana shared the latest teaser for an upcoming return, simply posting a photo displaying the text:

Konnan recently revealed that Santana had previously been frustrated with his creative in AEW, specifically revolving around his exit from the Jericho Appreciation Society.

Konnan also seemingly recently confirmed rumours that Santana and his Proud ‘n’ Powerful tag team partner Ortiz weren’t getting along prior to his injury.
