Adam Cole Detail You May Have Missed At AEW All In London Wembley Stadium AEW

Adam Cole has revealed a detail about his ring attire that non-videogaming fans may have missed whilst watching AEW All In.

The UK debut for the company took place at Wembley Stadium in London, England, with a paid audience of 81,035 fans in attendance.

As previously reported, this made AEW All In the largest crowd in history to ever attend a pro wrestling event in Europe.

The show was also AEW’s highest-grossing event ever and one of the largest pro wrestling gates of all time, generating more than $10 million.

Adam Cole reflected on the Wembley Stadium show and revealed the inspiration behind his choice of ring attire, tweeting:

“On the biggest night of my career in front of 81k people at #AEWAllIn, I had to pay tribute to the greatest Video Game villain of all time.

“The “God Damn Hero.” #HandsomeJack @Borderlands”

Handsome Jack was the main antagonist of Borderlands 2, released in 2012 and served as the secondary main character in 2014’s Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel.

AEW All In was quite a show for Adam Cole, featuring on the pre-show where he teamed with MJF to defeat Aussie Open for the ROH Tag Team Championship.

He would also face MJF in the main event of the show itself but be unsuccessful in his bid for the AEW World Championship.

After the match, Cole took to social media to share a message of love towards his fellow ROH Tag Team Champion.

Tony Khan revealed that, had Cole been unable to return to wrestling in AEW, he would have still fulfilled his contract in the post-show press conference.
