AEW Star Reacts To Andrade El Idolo’s Return AEW

An AEW star has reacted to Andrade El Idolo’s return, noting that he is now associated with two factions of personal significance.

The former WWE star returned to AEW officially on the January 7 episode of Dynamite, being revealed as a new member of the Don Callis Family.

This return saw a reaction from Kyle Fletcher, himself a member of the Don Callis Family, noting that Andrade is also a member of another faction, tweeting:

“Wait, so Andrade is with DCF…

“..and United Empire? 🥴”

Andrade El Idolo’s membership in the Don Callis Family puts him at potential odds with former member Will Ospreay, who separated himself from the faction back in July 2024.

Meanwhile, over in New Japan, Ospreay made a return, albeit not in a wrestling capacity, at New Year Dash!!, reuniting with his United Empire teammates and promising to compete in NJPW following his return from injury.

During the Road to the Tokyo Dome tour of December last year, Andrade El Idolo made a pre-taped appearance, revealing that he is the newest member of United Empire, teaming with Francesco Akira & Jakob Austin Young at New Year Dash!!.

With Great-O-Khan as a founding member of the United Empire, Fletcher would send a message in the direction of the NJPW star, tweeting:

“Where’s the Great-O-Khan when you need him?”

The Great-O-Khan would respond with a cryptic message suggesting that there’s more in play than what may be seen, stating:

“I’m glad you need me, but someone is pulling the strings behind this incident. My turn will come a little later.”

Fletcher is also a former member of United Empire, alongside his Aussie Open teammate Mark Davis, who is also a member of the Don Callis Family.
