**UPDATE – Andrade El Idolo has reportedly been pulled from his planned spot on the Forbidden Door show, which you can read about here**
AEW star Andrade El Idolo looks to have voiced his displeasure about not being able to work with NJPW ahead of Forbidden Door.
Andrade posted a tweet earlier, writing “I can’t work with NJPW, thanks CMLL and AAA” and what appeared to be a sarcastic thumbs up emoji.
Essentially, the belief is this:
- Andrade has a deal with AAA
- CMLL are partners with NJPW
- CMLL doesn’t want NJPW associating with AAA talent
It remains to be seen whether this will affect any other AEW stars who often work for AAA, which would include the Lucha Brothers and the Young Bucks among others.
Andrade El Idolo had been off AEW TV since April 30 before returning last week on June 8. He took the time off to get married to WWE star Charlotte Flair.
