AEW Announces Championship Match And More For Next Week’s Show

As it does every week, AEW announced the line-up for next week’s show and it looks to be a big one. Anytime we get an AEW Championship match on the show it’s going to be a big week.

However, this one feels just a bit bigger. Jon Moxley will be defending the AEW Championship against Darby Allin. Allin and Moxley teamed up tonight to face Brian Cage and Ricky Starks.

Allin picked up the win and gets to challenge Moxley next week. Ricky Starks picked up his second loss on Dynamite and potentially a lot of scars when he took a thumbtacked skateboard to the back. Ouch.

Since we’re talking about big matches, AEW apparently felt like 10 men tags weren’t big enough. We’re getting a 12 man tag team match next week.

We’re getting The Dark Order vs. The Elite and FTR. It appears we’re getting Kenny Omega, Hangman Page, The Young Bucks, and FTR vs. Brodie Lee, Colt Cabana, Stu Grayson, Evil Uno, Allen 5 Angels, and 10.

I’m not sure there are enough tag ropes in the building for this one to actually follow any kind of rules. I’m sure it will be chaotic, but it should also be a lot of fun.

The fun doesn’t stop there. We’re getting Chris Jericho vs. Darby Allin in two weeks in a much-anticipated rematch. However, next week they’ll be debating each other. Why? Who knows, but I’m sure Jericho will be entertaining.

The final match of the night features a huge in-ring debut. Matt Cardona (Zack Ryder) will be debuting in a tag team match with Cody vs. Silver and Reynolds of Dark Order.

AEW will be heavy on Dark Order members next week, but the show should continue the run of quality shows.
