AEW Star Sends Warning Ahead Of Championship Match

An AEW star has sent a warning ahead of an upcoming World Tag Team Championship match, following Dynamite.

The January 14 episode of AEW Dynamite saw a four-way take place, to determine the #1 contenders for the World Tag Team Championship.

Representing the Don Callis Family, Mark Davis and the recently signed Jack Doyle were victorious over JetSpeed, The Young Bucks and GOA.

Don Callis has now addressed the victory for his clients, sending a warning to FTR in a backstage interview segment.

Asked how they were feeling after the victory, Callis would step forward and state:

“How are we feeling? We’re feeling really good because these two are animals. These two are something no one expected, and I unleashed them on All Elite Wrestling. I unleashed them on the other three teams tonight, and we came out victorious.

“So now, sometime soon, we’re onto FTR. I actually love FTR. I think FTR is a fantastic, generational tag team, but all good things must come to an end.

“Your end is going to be when you’re staring across the ring at Davis and Doyle. They’re going to plant you in the dirt, and we are going to take your titles, and I can’t wait to get my hands on those AEW World Tag Team Titles.

“I might wear them around the mansion, I might sit on my throne and stare at myself holding those belts, and I will walk the streets and say yes, Don Callis and the Don Callis Family, we are the AEW World Tag Team Champions.”

With it being noted that a large number of Don Callis interviews seeming revolved about the man himself, it would be the head of the Family that would point out that it’s “not about the me, it’s about the ‘you'”.

FTR defeated Brodido (Brody King & Bandido) at AEW Full Gear 2025 in November to become three-time World Tag Teams Champions, a record that they share with The Young Bucks.
