New behind the scenes details have been revealed about the new video game, AEW Fight Forever, set for release on June 29.

The first AEW console game, AEW Fight Forever is set to launch on June 29, 2023 (a day earlier for pre-sale fans of the Elite edition) and now more behind the scenes details have been revealed.

In a new report from Fightful Select, several interesting tidbits on the soon to be released AEW Fight Forever.

While there are several ‘difficult to find initially’ Easter eggs reportedly, one that developers and testers have already let slip is a fun detail involved in playing the infamous Exploding Barbed Wire Death match.

A player can opt to have a “a stunning, brutal explosion” or an alternate version, more reminiscent of the rather lackluster finish to the  Exploding Barbed Wire Deathmatch between Kenny Omega and Jon Moxley at Revolution 2021.

More in game surprises include “size-based characters and weapons,” which sounds quite enjoyable.

Also, from people who worked on the game there was specifics about Kenny Omega’s contribution including the anticipated mini-games offered in the title.

With the reported easy of playability, multi-player modes and a career mode where you can play your AEW favorites, there is a lot to look forward to before this game drops.

AEW Fight Forever will be released on June 29, 2023 but available a day early to those that snagged a preorder for the expanded, AEW Fight Forever Elite Edition.

The Elite Edition also includes six additional roster members otherwise not available including fan favorites: FTR (both Dax Harwood and Cash Wheeler) Keith Lee, Hook, The Bunny and Danhausen plus two iterations of Matt Hardy.

Fans get both Matt Hardy and Broken Matt Hardy added to their rosters with the Elite edition pre-order and four new mini-games.
