On tonight’s airing of AEW Collision, three more men advanced to the semi-finals of the Owen Hart Foundation Tournament.
In the first tournament match, Powerhouse Hobbs pinned Dustin Rhodes with a spinebuster to advance.
Later, Ricky Starks took on Juice Robinson and after a hard fought match, Starks won.
However after the match, the rest of Bullet Club Gold (Jay White and the Gunns) descended upon the ring to attack Starks before they were run off by FTR.
Later it was announced that Juice Robinson and Jay White will take on FTR on the July 8 edition of AEW Collision in a championship eliminator match, which if they win, they will get a future title shot.
In the night’s main event match, Roderick Strong took on Samoa Joe in a fierce battle that eventually was won via referee stoppage.
After Samoa Joe had Roderick Strong in the Coquina Clutch, he did not submit rather was unable to continue competing per the referee’s discretion.
This sets up semi-final showdowns of CM Punk taking on Samoa Joe, as well as battle between two former friends.
Ricky Starks and Powerhouse Hobbs will renew their rivalry as they enter the semi-finals of the Owen Hart Foundation Tournament as well.
That means the eventual final will be Punk or Joe vs Hobbs or Starks.
